The car that Mackenzie Shrilla had used for driving, which had crashed into a wall, killing her boyfriend, Dominic Russo and their mutual friend, Davion Flanagan, was an asset in her parents' bankruptcy. Well, new bankruptcy reports that have surfaced show that the car Mackenzie used was actually one of their assets.

A new report by TMZ revealed that Mackenzie Shrilla's Toyota Camry, which was involved in the crash, was her parents' asset. The crash had killed Dominic and Davion, and months before the incident, it was found that the car was an asset in her parents' bankruptcy. Well, according to bankruptcy documents which were filed, there were interesting details. The report mentioned that Mackenzie's parents, Steve and Natalie Shirilla, had filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection back in May 2022. This was two months before the crash that happened to Mackenzie on July 31, 2022, in Strongsville, Ohio. The report had revealed that USD 398,000 were in assets and around USD 173,000 were in liabilities.

The report further revealed that among the assets, the 2018 Toyota Camry car stood at USD 18,000 and had 32,000 miles on the odometer. The same vehicle became the life-changing cause of Mackenzie's life as it took away the lives of Dominic and Davion. The revelation has actually shocked all the netizens after Netflix released The Crash documentary. The Crash documentary had all the attention on the circumstances related to the demise of two young men, and then Mackenzie was convicted for the same. She has got life sentence for the murder of her boyfriend and her mutual friend. Prosecutors have alleged that she intentionally drove the car into a wall.

The report then revealed that the Toyota Camry, as part of the bankruptcy, was sold off to a third party to pay the creditors. However, Mackenzie's parents had purchased the car back and her parents continue to reveal that she has been innocent. For the unversed, it was on July 31, 2022, at 5.30 a.m., when Mackenzie, who was 17 then, had accelerated her Toyota Camry car to a speed of 100 mph and drove into a commercial brick building. It was located in Strongsville, Ohio. Shirilla's boyfriend, Dominic, was aged 20 at that time, and their friend, Davion, was 19 and also present in the car. Both had lost their lives with reportedly no fault. Three of them had marijuana in their body during the crash. Shirilla had got a lot of injuries, but she was alive.

Mackenzie Shrilla, during the time of the crash, was a graduate of Strongsville High School. She and Davion have been in a relationship for four years and have also been living together. However, things did not look perfect as the couple's relationship was always on the rocks. They used to have a lot of fights, according to the court documents. Reportedly, as per the documents, Shirilla used to hit Russo.

Dominic Russo's mother had also alleged that during the six months that led to the crash, there was a lot of arguments, breakups and also threats. Shirilla had become extremely possessive of Russo, and in one instance, according to the mother, Shirilla had said, “I’m going to wreck this car right now, when Russo was in the car with her. When the videos were captured, after Russo's demise, there was an audio of Shirilla threatening to get into Russo's house forcefully.
