The day you become a maasi, is the day when you officially become a babysitter of your sister’s kid. No matter how much you hated kids earlier, with the arrival of the cuddle bunny in your life, you would always want that monkey to climb over you day and night. Something similar is happening with Sonam Kapoor’s sister, Rhea Kapoor as she became a newbie maasi with the birth of Sonam and Anand Ahuja’s son, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja.
Sonam and Rhea are very close to each other. The day the Neerja actress embraced motherhood for the first time on August 20, 2022, Rhea could not hold herself together and broke down in the hospital. She had also taken to her IG handle and posted a glimpse of Vayu from the hospital, wrapped in a blue swaddle. In the frame, we could also spot Rhea crying like a baby after seeing the little munchkin.

On October 27, 2022, Rhea Kapoor took to her IG handle and posted a couple of pictures with Sonam Kapoor and her baby, Vayu. In the candid portrait, Rhea and Sonam were seen having a conversation in a cosy room. While Rhea was cuddling Vayu to sleep, Sonam was seen chilling beside them. Not only Rhea, even Sonam’s doting hubby, Anand Ahuja is leaving no stone unturned to express his happiness upon becoming a daddy at the age of 39. We still remember how he was roaming around the streets, distributing sweets, with his sasur, Anil Kapoor, on the night of Junior Kapoor’s birth.

Earlier, in a conversation with Vogue India, Sonam Kapoor had opened up about her life's most memorable moment when she found out about her first pregnancy. Though Sonam’s hubby, Anand Ahuja, was diagnosed with Covid-19, she had shared the ‘good news’ with him over a video call. Sonam could be quoted as narrating:
“I found out I was pregnant on Christmas Day. Anand was in the other room of our London apartment since he had Covid-19, and I basically Zoomed (video called) him and gave him the news. Then we called our parents and told them as well.”
We love how Rhea Kapoor is showering her little nephew with utmost love and care!
