Popular comedian, Munawar Faruqui is leading all the headlines right now. After winning the first season of the controversial reality show, Lock Upp, hosted by Kangana Ranaut, the comedian is on cloud nine at the moment. During the show, the audiences saw different sides of Munawar, and no doubt, they loved each one of them. However, there were some shocking revelations about his past that had shocked even his die-hard fans, and one such revelation was about his first marriage and a child.
Now, after winning the show, Lock Upp, in a heart-to-heart conversation with a leading media portal, Munawar Faruqui opened up about his first marriage, his son and also shared how he had met his current girlfriend, Nazila. Check it out!

In an interview with ETimes, the winner of the controversial reality show, Lock Upp, Munawar Faruqui opened up about his first marriage and shared why he hadn't talked about it before it was revealed during his time inside the show. Answering this, the comedian shared that he wasn't comfortable talking about his past on national television. However, he also added that once it was out in public, he was cool to discuss it with everyone else because it was a part of his past life, just like everyone. Talking more about his first marriage, Munawar said:
"Yes, I wasn't ready to talk about my past on the show. But at the same time I realised that I don't want to hide it also from anyone. It happens with all of us that when we are going through 4/5 difficult situations in life, we try to deal with one at a time. Everyone has their past and now when I am a known face and given the celebrity tag, I will have to talk about my personal life and it is no more personal now. Hai kuch zindagi ke puraane kisse but aage badhna hai zindagi ka naam.”
Going further in the same interview, Munawar Faruqui also talked about his son from his first marriage and admitted that he's very much excited to meet him. The comedian admitted that he wants to give his son a better life and is working hard to fulfil all his dreams and needs. Munawar also explained that although he wants to give everything that his son wants in his life, he's also taking care of him as a person, as he wants him to be a good person at the end of the day. Reflecting on his parenting, Munawar stated:
"I am going to meet my son very soon. I am very excited to meet him. I always think of giving him a better life and he should be able to achieve all his dreams. I want him to become a good person and a better human being. I also want that people close to him should also be safe and he should become a good person. Main usse Kisi bhi cheez ki kami nahi hone dena chahta… I want to give him all the happiness in the world. I want to be there for him always.

In the same interview, Munawar Faruqui also opened up about his relationship with social media influencer and Vlogger, Nazila. When the doting boyfriend was asked since when they have come into a relationship, Munawar surprisingly revealed that he had known Nazila for almost a year, but they've been dating for the last few months only. Reflecting on why he didn't tell his ladylove's identity during his time inside the show, Lock Upp, Munawar explained the life of a celebrity and admitted that he's protective of his girlfriend, Nazila. The comedian explained:
"I've known Nazila for a year now and we have been dating for a few months. The situation inside the house was not right to talk about Nazila. As I was inside the show and she was outside and I was not there with her at that moment in the outside world, so I refrained from revealing her identity. In our life there are different aspects of us about which we are protective. I don't think it is wrong to be protective about our loved ones and the moment I came out I posted her picture."
At the end of his heart-to-heart conversation, Munawar Faruqui also answered the much-asked question of whether his girlfriend, Nazila was getting jealous seeing his concrete bond with co-contestant, Anjali Arora inside the Lock Upp. Answering this, the comedian explained that his ladylove is a bit possessive, just like every partner in the world. However, he clearly refuted the talks of Nazila being worried or tensed over his bonding with Anjali, as Munawar called his girlfriend mature. Reflecting on the same, he said:
"It's human nature to get possessive about your partner Isn't it? She's just like any other girl. Also it depends as a couple how much understanding you have. I am very glad and very happy that the type of person I am she's very smart, intelligent and mature. At the same time she's very understanding and that's the reason we are together. Agar hum ek saath hain toh kuch Na kuch Khoobiyaan hongi.”
On the professional front, reports are rife that Munawar Faruqui will reportedly be next seen in the upcoming season of the popular reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi.
