Popular actress, Payal Rohatgi is currently contesting in one of the most controversial reality TV shows, Lock Upp. She has been one of the strongest participants in the show. However, in the latest episode, Payal was seen making some shocking revelations about her love life with her long-time boyfriend, Sangram Singh. For the unversed, the duo had been hitting the headlines for their wedding announcement.
On March 17, 2022, Sangram Singh had taken to his Twitter handle and had shared a video clip of his ladylove, Payal Rohatgi, from her show, Lock Upp. Sharing the video, he had mentioned that he is all set to tie the knot with Payal on his birthday i.e. on July 21, 2022. He had written in the caption:
"Payal is a very nice girl. We both are alike, yet different. Every couple should have the same mindset and lifestyle. We had planned a wedding in March but both had work commitments. So we will get married closer to my birthday in July. God bless everyone".

In the latest episode of the reality show, Lock Upp, Payal Rohatgi was seen getting indulged in a fight with another show contestant, Karanvir Bohra. While the two participants were arguing, Karan called Payal's boyfriend, Sangram Singh, "Joru Ka Gulam". This angered Payal, and she screamed in his reply revealing details about her relationship status with Sangram. Payal also mentioned that she doesn't want Sangram's parents to think negative of her. Payal said:
"Sangram is not joru ka gulam. Waise hi 12 saal se hamari shaadi delay ho rahi hai. I don't want his parents to think Payal prefers him to be joru ka gulam and that's why our wedding is getting delayed. You know we have been engaged for so long and we have not been married."
Further, in the same episode, Payal started confessing that Sangram's friends used to provoke him against her. Explaining her wish to marry Sangram after dating him for 12 long years finally on this year. She also mentioned that she isn't Sangram's 'pao ki jutti'. She added:
"And there Sangram's friends provoke him. We have been engaged for so long and we have not been married because we have not been able to come to a point. I want to get married to Sangram. People tell him, 'You are a Jatt, aurat ko aisa karna chahiye' and I keep trying to change myself. I want to get married. It's been 12 years. Sangram is not 'joru ka ghulam' and I am not his 'pao ki jutti'."

Earlier, in a conversation with Etimes, Sangram Singh had mentioned that Payal's family had accepted her being in a live-in relationship with him, post their engagement. On being asked about their relationship, Sangram had shared:
"Jahan do bartan hain, wahan aawaz to aayegi. But Payal is a very nice girl. I think she hasn't been understood. We both give a lot of freedom to each other in the creative space. I remember a lot of people predicted that our relationship won't last. I was told Payal is not the right girl for me. There was a Brahmin who was a fraud; Payal used to get pujas done from him. I asked her to stop everything- when that man does not know his own future, how will he tell ours? Every relationship has its share of differences. But trust me, we have been thick and never taken a break in our relationship."
If media reports are to be believed, Sangram and Payal would either have a wedding in Haryana or Gujarat, in their respective hometowns, on July 21, 2022. They had also expressed their wedding as a simple family affair and their desire to have babies.
For the unversed, Payal Rohatgi and Sangram Singh had met each other for the first time in the reality show, Survivor India, and since then, the two of them had started dating each other.
