Popular influencer and content creator, Anjali Arora is in the headlines after making her television debut with the controversial reality show, Lock Upp. During the course of the show, she had made a special bond with the show's eventual winner, Munawar Faruqui. When the two were inside the show, reports were rife on the outside that they were reportedly in love with each other. However, after the end of the show, Munawar had opened up about his girlfriend, Nazila, and Anjali had introduced her boyfriend, Akash Sansanwal, to the world.
Now, in a recent interview with a news portal, Anjali Arora addressed the ongoing speculations about her engagement with Akash Sansanwal. She had also admitted that she tried contacting Munawar Faruqui, but he didn't respond.

In a heart-to-heart interview with ETimes, Anjali Arora was asked about her bond with Lock Upp winner, Munawar Faruqui, the influencer revealed the current status of their bond. Anjali admitted that after the show was ended, she had tried contacting Munawar a few times, but he had not responded to her. Reflecting on the change in his behaviour, Anjali also added that it was a pure friendship from her side, but as of now, Munawar has changed and is currently busy with someone else. Anjali said:
"Munawar and I bonded well on the show because humari age ka koi nahi tha show mein. We supported each other throughout the game. And that, I thought, was pure friendship. But abhi usko kya ho gaya hai, pata nahi. I tried contacting him after the show a few times, but all in vain. He is probably busy somewhere."
Going further in the interview, when Anjali Arora talked about the ongoing speculations and rumours in the media about her engagement with her boyfriend and popular content creator, Akash Sansanwal. The famous influencer revealed the truth behind these reports and clearly stated that she and Akash are not engaged at the moment. However, Anjali also added that she shares an extremely concrete and special bond with Akash. She also admitted that Akash has a special place in her heart. In her words:
"Akash is very special to me, and we have a strong bond. He definitely has a special place in my heart, but we aren't engaged."

In the same interview, Anjali Arora also talked about her journey from making videos on Instagram to entering Lock Upp and winning hearts with her game plan in the competition. However, when Anjali was asked to open up about her struggling days, she recalled how her relatives used to make fun of her and told her parents that she had brought shame to their family's name. Recalling those days, Anjali added that her parents had not paid any heed to those relatives for a second. Instead, they always supported her in her work. She said:
"TikTok se Lock Upp tak ki journey bahut difficult thi mere liye. When I used to make videos on TikTok, a few relatives would tell my parents, 'yeh videos mein dance kar ke naak kata rahi hai', but my parents were always supportive. They ignored it all. Aur aaj woh hi relatives selfie lene aate hain mere sath. My parents are very proud, and I feel blessed."
