However, he is showing positive progress and recovering from it. At the same time, they expressed their disappointment over the speculations about his health going viral on the internet. In their words:

The Messi family informs that Jorge Messi is currently dealing with a health situation. At this time, he is under medical supervision, recovering, and showing positive progress in his condition."

The Messi family also clarified that only Jorge Messi's closest relatives have accurate information about his condition. In turn, they have urged people not to rely on reports from anyone other than the official family of Jorge Messi. The statement not only provided a health update on Messi's father but also put an end to the rumours circulating about him. The family called out the lack of sensitivity when internet users and the media discussed their private family matters.

According to the statement, health concerns should not be subject to speculation or irresponsible media attention. In fact, the family also requested that media houses report health updates with greater caution, humanity, and responsibility.
