Another question that continues to linger in everyone's minds is whether the 36-year-old former nurse can truly be held criminally responsible for killing her three children. Now, as Lindsay's mistrial makes headlines, many are showing their support for her by flooding her fundraising page.
Lindsay Clancy's fundraiser goal goes higher after mistrial announcement
One thing that has become clear over the days since Lindsay Clancy's trial started is that many support her and hope that she is found not guilty. As her trial came to an end on September 4, 2026, when Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial, Lindsay’s supporters did not waste a second before flooding her fundraising page.
For those unaware, the GoFundMe page called The Musgrove Family Fund was initially set up for Lindsay's parents. Going into detail about how much Lindsay's parents had been by her side throughout this difficult time, organizer Brandee Mulligan had stated at that time:
“The Musgrove Family Fund is for the two people who have remained at her side through every step of what followed: her parents, Mike and Paula Musgrove. For more than three years, Mike and Paula have shown up for Lindsay. They have attended her court proceedings and relocated from their Connecticut home to Massachusetts so they can be close to their daughter.”

After the mistrial was declared, the GoFundMe managed to raise over USD 1.1 million. As of now, it continues to edge towards its USD 3 million target. Amid this, in a new update posted on the page by Brandee Mulligan on September 4, 2026, they announced that the financial goal is going to be raised. Brandee made it clear that the decision was made taking into consideration how the mistrial had extended the process. They wrote:
“I’ve decided to raise the goal of this fundraiser since this process has been extended, so is the time Paula and Mike will remain away from their home, continuing to carry the costs that come with being there for their daughter every day. The original purpose of this fundraiser hasn’t changed — it’s simply to take one thing off their plate while they continue to show up for their family. If they have to keep showing up longer, I want to make sure the support does too.”
It is worth mentioning that the fundraiser was created with the knowledge and consent of Lindsay’s attorney, Kevin Reddington.
The fundraiser has emphasized that the money will not be used for Lindsay's defense. Additionally, donors are not asked to take a stance on the case.
What will happen to Lindsay Clancy after her trial ends in a mistrial?
For those wondering if Lindsay Clancy will walk free, as of now, her fate continues to remain uncertain. As the case progresses after the mistrial was declared, Lindsay will remain in custody. She is currently being held without bail while receiving treatment at Tewksbury State Hospital.

Speaking to PEOPLE, former federal prosecutor and legal expert Neama Rahmani revealed that the prosecution has to decide whether they want to retry or dismiss the case. However, he stated that the chances of the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office continuing to prosecute the case are way higher. Rahmani further added that Lindsay Clancy's new trial could potentially take place in late 2026 or early 2027. This will mainly depend on the court’s schedule.
