Lauren Silverman And Simon Cowell's Relationship, She Cheated On Her Husband With The Media Mogul

Media mogul and reality show judge, Simon Cowell has been managing his professional and personal life well alongside his fiancée, Lauren Silverman. Despite being one of the most popular names in the entertainment world, Simon has always chosen to keep his private life under wraps. Simon garnered immense attention when his affair with Lauren made headlines, as she was already married at the time.

Lauren Silverman spoke about her extramarital affair with Simon Cowell

Simon and Lauren’s relationship is more than a decade old. On the Happy Mum podcast, Lauren reflected on her affair with Simon while being married to Andrew Silverman. Talking about the complicated emotions, she stated:

“It was the end of my marriage, obviously. Looking back on that time, it was one of the hardest times of my life. I don't want to say regretful because I don't regret anything," she continued. "Everything happens in your life for a reason. I'm a firm believer in that. Do I wish it had happened a different way and that I could go back and change certain things? Of course I do.”

Lauren was married to Andrew from 2003 to 2013, and the couple also has a son named Adam. When Lauren found out that she was expecting a child with Simon, Lauren was ready to step out of her marriage with Andrew and begin a new chapter with Simon, as she felt. In the same podcast, Lauren revealed that she never felt regretful as she believed that Simon was the person she wanted to spend her life with. Though Lauren mentioned her wish to go back and take away the hurt she caused to her ex-husband, Andrew and their son, Adam.

Lauren Silverman faced backlash for cheating on her husband

Going forward in the podcast, Lauren shared that she did face a lot of backlash for her infidelity, and she faced them all with her head down. Speaking about it, she shared that she had no complaint when people judged her, as she would have done the same. After the scandal broke, Lauren kept going without defending herself, knowing she was at fault. Lauren also felt that she deserved the humiliation, as part of her knew that what she did was not right.

Lauren Silverman and Simon Cowell’s relationship

Simon Cowell met Lauren Silverman while on vacation in Barbados in 2004. However, at the time, Lauren was already married to Andrew Silverman, a close friend of Simon. Lauren and Simon became friends, and several years later, they fell in love. When Lauren began dating Simon in 2012, she was still married to Andrew. In 2013, Andrew filed for a divorce from Lauren after he found out that she was pregnant with Simon’s child. The talent show judge, Simon, was cited as a "co-respondent" in the court papers for adultery.

While the entire fiasco was all over the news, Simon’s representative released a statement revealing how the talent show judge was "not proud" of the affair which started the couple's relationship. Simon also told a publication, "It is not something I am proud of or wanted to happen in terms of hurting anyone. It just happened." After Lauren's divorce, the couple travelled to France in 2013 for a short vacation and later made their romance official. Simon has two children. He is the stepfather of Lauren's son from her previous marriage, Adam, and the father of another son called Eric, whom he shares with Lauren.
