Nicholas Fosco, who is professionally known as 'Lacy', was streaming from a restaurant when his viewers decided to play a prank on him, racking up a USD 12,000 bill.
What happened during Lacy's livestream?
In a video that has now gone viral on social media, Lacy and his partner, Darla Claire, are shown dining at a restaurant in Japan. The couple was livestreaming like usual. However, things took a turn when Lacy ended up with a USD 12,000 bill. Both the influencers were visibly stunned after they reportedly received a bill of over 1.6 million yen (roughly USD 12,000) after live chat viewers exploited a restaurant ordering code.
Lacy and Darla Claire were in Tokyo during their ongoing livestream when an unexpected and costly incident seemingly left them shocked. For those who are not aware, the influencer couple was traveling in Tokyo, sharing moments from their trip as it happened in real time. However, things went south when Lacy accidentally revealed the table's QR code used for digital food ordering.

The QR code reportedly caught the livestreamer's attention, and within minutes, the viewers began placing orders through the digital system. The massive food order came to Lacy's notice when a waiter approached him to confirm the bill. In a viral video, the waiter reportedly asked Lacy and Darla whether they had ordered 20 drinks, prompting the streamer to react with surprise as he realized viewers may have used the exposed QR code to place orders.
Thereafter, the couple decided not to order any more due to the massive orders and the unexpectedly high bill. Lacy eventually paid the bill, which exceeded around 1.6 million yen (around USD 12,000). The American streamer apologized profusely to the restaurant management and staff for the chaotic disruption before leaving the establishment.
Lacy expresses his dismay with the viewers over the overboard prank
After leaving the restaurant, Lacy further addressed the viewers and the massive bill that he had to pay. He revealed the entire incident and told the chat that he was beyond upset. He shared that the staff brought him a bill for 500,000 yen (approximately USD 3,100), then brought two more receipts, bringing the grand total to over 1.6 million yen (roughly USD 12,000).

Lacy was upset with his viewers, as not only did he had to pay the bill, but the cook had to make such a massive amount of food that they eventually had to hand it out to other dining families, as there was no way he could have finished that much food. Lacy expressed his disappointment over the incident, stating that a massive food bill of USD 12,000 would be funny for the viewers.
Meanwhile, the incident drew attention after clips of Lacy's Japan livestream circulated on X, with posts highlighting how viewers allegedly exploited the exposed restaurant QR code to place orders worth USD 12,000. The incident also highlights how easily information can be transferred. While some users expressed concern over safety, others bashed the influencer for streaming the dinner in the first place.
