Kyle Busch's son, Brexton Busch, competed across several divisions at Port City Raceway in Oklahoma on July 17, 2026. However, the world saw another champion emerge after the 11-year-old took the chequered flag in the restricted micro sprint class. Samantha penned a heartwrenching note while sharing a video of her son's big day.
In the clip, Samantha was hugging her son, Brexton, who was dressed in a racer green outfit and looked happy. Samantha's emotions were clearly visible as she documented her son's milestone and gave him a big hug. Along with it, she penned a heartfelt note, calling it his first win after losing Kyle.
Samantha stated that she is both proud and heartbroken at the same time. She heaped praise on her son, and how he continues to amaze him with his determination, his resilience, and showing up to do what he loves since a young age. She wrote:
"First win since losing Kyle. I’ve never felt so proud and so heartbroken at the same time. Brexton continues to amaze me with his determination, his resilience, the way he keeps showing up to do what he loves even while carrying so much at such a young age."
Samantha further added that she can only think about her husband, Kyle, who used to feel super happy seeing their son race. Recalling the emotional moment, Samantha stated that Brex raced in Kyle's car and sprinted to Victory Lance with a huge grin. She concluded:
"Watching him celebrate all I could think about was Kyle. There was nothing that made him happier than watching Brex race, spending the day tinkering on his car and then being the first one sprinting to Victory Lane with that huge grin on his face. I used to tell Kyle during all the late nights, road trips, and chaos of long weekends at the track that one day when we were 80 we’d look back and say, “Those were the best days of our lives.” I knew then and I know even more now, they really were. Congratulations, buddy. Dad would’ve been so, so proud."
For the unversed, the victory was even special as Brexton took his late father, Kyle's green No. 18 car. The family was able to celebrate the milestone two months after Kyle's death on May 21, 2026, at the age of 41. As per reports, he died from complications from bacterial pneumonia and sepsis.

As per a report, Kyle Busch had a collapsing episode inside a racing simulator one day before his death. The 41-year-old was found unresponsive inside a Chevrolet racing simulator on May 20, 2026. The racer passed away after his family announced that he was backing out of the upcoming races in North Carolina. Kyle was prepping for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the speedway in Concord on May 22, 2026, and on May 24, 2026, at the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Kyle's family announced a joint statement with NASCAR and revealed that the 41-year-old had passed away. They called it sudden and tragic, as the family was hoping for a speedy recovery.
