Just three days after celebrating his son's birthday, Kyle Busch passed away at the age of 41. His fans are still struggling to come to terms with his absence. The NASCAR legend's family revealed that he died of pneumonia, which turned into sepsis. But several people have been curious to know how Kyle's health suddenly declined within three days. At the same time, what happened when he was hospitalised due to a "severe illness" hours before his death. But it seems we finally have some answers from his official death certificate.
According to US Weekly, Kyle Busch was reportedly suffering from bacterial pneumonia for "days to weeks" before his death. For those unaware, he passed away on May 21, 2026. However, the situation reportedly turned dangerous roughly one day before his death. In fact, Kyle's infection reportedly turned into sepsis in the last 24 hours before his untimely demise. The race car driver's official death certificate claims that sepsis caused blood clots to spread throughout his body. It led to some serious health complications that went beyond the control of doctors.

Some reports also claim that Kyle later experienced dangerous internal bleeding, which eventually pushed his body into shock. This rapid decline reportedly occurred within 24 hours. Meanwhile, a previous report by TMZ Sports revealed that emergency responders were alerted when Kyle was found unresponsive in a racing simulator. In fact, the 911 caller told dispatchers that the NASCAR car driver was coughing up blood. At the same time, he struggled to breathe before finally collapsing on the floor.

In fact, the caller also mentioned that a few moments after the emergency, Kyle was found on the bathroom floor. At that time, he stated that he was going to pass before his health deteriorated. Notably, the tragedy came just a couple of days after Kyle won a NASCAR Cup Series race. Some fans also shared that he was heard asking his crew to send a doctor to give him a "shot" after the race. In turn, they claimed he was possibly struggling with his health at the time.

Kyle Busch fans got to see another emotional moment at Charlotte Motor Speedway before the Coca-Cola 600 weekend. A video shared by NASCAR's official X handle showed Kyle's car quietly being unloaded at the track. Unlike the normal energetic atmosphere near the garage, everyone fell silent to honor the late driver. At the same time, Kyle's iconic No.8 was replaced with No. 33. Still, a small no. An 8 decal was placed on the Chevrolet's door to pay a subtle tribute to the NASCAR legend. According to reports, Richard Childress Racing, Kyle's team, has decided that no one will race in the No.8 car after his death. However, if Kyle's 11-year-old son, Brexton, decides to enter NASCAR one day, it would be available for him.
