Kyedae is a famous gaming personality who has gained widespread fame with her Kyedae Twitch channel. She live streams the game Valorant, and it has helped her amass more than 3.1 million followers. Recently, Kyedae has been making headlines after she announced her breakup with Tyson. 

Kyedae and Tyson's breakup reason revealed

Kyedae and Tyson 'TenZ' have confirmed that they are no longer together. They were hailed as the most loving couple, and their relationship was the talk of esports and streaming. The ex-couple were engaged, and they often shared details about their relationship in public. However, their breakup news left many in shock. There are many who are supporting and praising the duo for how they have handled the change. 

Taking to X handle, Kyedae revealed that she and TenZ had decided to part ways. Kyedae revealed that they have not been together for quite some time now, and the decision has been mutual. Sharing the reason for separation, Kyedae mentioned that they were not growing together in the same direction, rather than due to any drama or wrongdoing. They requested privacy for each other as they navigate into the new chapter of their life. Their statement can be read as:

"Hey everybody, Tyson and I feel ready to share some personal news. We’ve actually been broken up for quite some time now. Toward the end of our relationship, we came to a realisation that wasn’t easy to accept: we had stopped growing as individuals."

Further in the note, Kyedae revealed that for most of their relationship, they have done everything together. From working together to having the same hobbies, they have been together in everything. She added that they would often joke that while it's been only six years, it felt like they had been together for thirty years. Kyedae shared that they moved in together just weeks after meeting each other. However, with time, they realised they needed space to grow. She wrote:

"For most of our relationship, we did everything together. Work together. Hobbies and interests—together. Pretty much everything—together. We’ve even joked in the past that although we were together for six years, it felt like at least thirty. We moved in together just weeks after meeting, and from ages 17 to 24, that was all we knew. Over time, it became clear that we needed space to grow into our own people separately."

Kyedae further highlighted that the internet often looks for a tea, but the truth is simple: they just grew apart. She added that nothing wrong happened in their relationship, or there was no resentment, and no single event led to their decision. They still care for each other and want the best for one another. They still love and are grateful for the time they spent together. She wrote:

"We know the internet often looks for “the tea,” but the truth is simple—we grew apart. There was no wrongdoing, no resentment, and no single event that caused this. We still care deeply about each other and genuinely want the best for one another. We’re also incredibly grateful for the time and life we shared together. Thank you for respecting our privacy."

As soon as the news was made public, netizens recalled how tension in their relationship surfaced weeks earlier as fans noticed how they have removed their couple photos from Instagram. In fact, the two had even deleted their engagement photos, which led to rumours and speculations. One usre wore, "Don’t believe in relationships anymore. Kyedae and Tenz broke up! Just put me back in jail already ... better than seeing this tragic news. On a real note, they are both great people, so I am sure they will be alright. Just a sign of the times, really. " Another one commented, "Just get back together, this can't be real."

For the unversed, Kyedae is a Canada-based streamer. She rose to fame through her Valorant content. On the other hand, TenZ has been a professional Valorant player and two-time champion of the same. Their relationship began in 2019, when the two were still in high school. With time they made names in the professional front. Side by side, their personal lives also took beautiful turn as they would travel, stream and built their career together in gaming. 

In 2022, Kyedae and TenZ decided to get engaged. Their fans showered them with immense love. Later, Kyedae joined 100 Thieves in 2021. She rose to worldwide fame with many users following her streams. On the other hand, TenZ became a standout player for Sentinels, and in late 2024, he retired from competitive play to focus more on content creation. It is worth mentioning that their life has not been easy, as in March 2023, Kyedae announced that she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and documented her journey.
