Boney Kapoor and Sridevi's daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor appeared on the latest episode of Koffee With Karan season 8. During their conversation on the show, both the gorgeous divas opened up about many unknown anecdotes from their personal lives. However, in one segment of the show, Janhvi hinted at her patch-up rumours with once-ex-boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya. For those who don't know, they were reportedly in a relationship even before her debut in Bollywood. However, they broke up just after the release of her debut film. It was only in 2022 that they gave their love another chance by patching up, and since then, they have been in a steady relationship.
As the latest episode of the popular talk show, Koffee With Karan 8, was released, Janhvi Kapoor can be heard spilling a little more tea about her personal life. Talking about her dating life, Janhvi has been allegedly seeing her beau, Shikhar Pahariya, for quite some time. Finally, on the 'Koffee' couch, she opened up about her equation with Shikhar and how they reconciled. During one of the segments of the episode, Karan Johar asked Janhvi why she decided to come back to him after their alleged breakup. He asked, “You were dating Shikhar Pahariya and then you dated someone else and now you are dating Shikhar again, True or False?” To which, Janhvi blushed red and hilariously answered:
“Have you heard that song, Nadaan Parinde Ghar Aaja? Shikhar used to sing that to me a lot.”

Afterwards, Janhvi explained how Shikhar has been her pillar of strength during tough times and even for her family, including her father, Boney Kapoor and sister, Khushi Kapoor. The Dhadak actress called Shikhar a 'selfless' man and mentioned that she has seen no other man like him who cares for others in the manner which her childhood friend does. Janhvi continued:
“I will say this, I think not just for me, but for her (pointing to Khushi) and for dad (Boney Kapoor) and for everyone in our family, he’s been there from the start. As a friend, in whatever capacity and not in a way that made me feel like he’s expecting anything or he’s a pushover, any of those things. He was just there in a very selfless, dignified way and in a way that I have not seen many men capable of being for another human being.”
Meanwhile, Janhvi was also asked why she doesn’t want to date a man from the acting industry. To this, Janhvi told Karan, that according to her, she wants a very balanced livelihood. However, she believes that if two actors date each other, a very competitive situation happens, leading to tension between them. Thus, she wants to avoid such tensions in her life, and for the same reason, she has no interest in dating an actor. In Janhvi's words:
“I want someone to be obsessed with me. The thing is you need someone to be okay with your… there needs to be a balance. You need someone who is okay to let you have your moment also but I find with actors that they get very competitive and they get very weird. I’ve said never (to dating actors). There is always tension when there is an actor. I can’t deal with that tension because I like to be undyingly devoted and I expect that devotion and I think when you are in the same profession, it’s difficult, specifically this (acting) profession.”

It's been a long since Janhvi and Shikhar have been speculated to be dating one another. Despite the duo never publicly admitting about the same but keeps getting spotted in multiple events together. In August 2023, Janhvi and Shikhar were papped at Tirumala Temple in Andhra Pradesh. However, it was the diva's huge diamond ring that grabbed the eyeballs. After pointing out the ring, netizens started speculating that Janhvi got engaged to Shikhar. However, a report by Bollywood Bubble later dismissed all such rumours as a source told the news portal that Janhvi's huge diamond ring belonged to her mom, Sridevi.
