The relationship between a father and a daughter is magical. There are a lot of unsaid things and the unconditional love between them knows no bounds. A father is a daughter’s first love and the equation shared between this relationship is something where words would fall short to explain. This is exactly the bond between Golmaal fame actor, Kunal Kemmu and his lovely angel, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu. For the uninitiated ones, Kunal found solace in the princess of Pataudi, Soha Ali Khan. After dating each other for a few years, they walked down the aisle on January 25, 2015. Two-and-a-half years after their doubles’ life, Soha and Kunal entered the parents’ club as they welcomed a baby girl, Inaaya, on September 29, 2017.
Soha and Kunal keep sharing lovely clicks with their little one on their respective social media handles. Kunal recently took to his official Instagram handle and shared a lovely picture with his little munchkin Inaaya sitting on a bike with him. He captioned the picture as, “Soon we shall ride together and soon you shall have your own. Let no one tell you what you can or can’t do. Make your own road and make your own journey. #bikerbaby.”
In an interview earlier, Kunal had adorably said, “I don’t know whether life has changed or not, but priorities definitely have [changed]. Before Inaaya was born, the ecstatic father had shown his excitement in an interview with News 18. He was quoted as saying, "I am excited. It's not unnerving. I can't wait to be a father now." He also revealed if he was curious to know about the gender, "I never felt the need to. Once a while I feel that if I get to know (the gender), then it would be easier to shop. There is a little bit of excitement anyway...what's it going to be. It's not like a hit or a flop when a film releases. Either way, it will be a hit.”
While Inaaya was born, Kunal was busy in the promotions of his then upcoming film, Golmaal. He had once shared, “If I wasn’t promoting Golmaal Again, I don’t think anything could have pulled me out of the house. But luckily Innaya spends a lot of time sleeping, so I keep constantly checking on her. It’s a great phase. Praising Soha on beautifully handling the job of a mother, Kunal had further added, “Soha is doing it (motherhood) really well. I’m proud of the way she’s going about it. She’s lost her sleep in the last few days, and she’s not complaining. She’s doing a good job.”
In an interview earlier, Soha had shared how her life has changed post-Inaaya’s birth and was quoted as saying, “But ultimately it is just us at home. So it’s quite different. The obvious change for me is that I am used to being in control of things. I am a control freak. I like to plan and organise things, whether it’s fitness, eating on time and getting my ten hours of sleep. All of that has gone out of the window. I’m no longer the boss, Inaya is. Life revolves around her.”
In another interview, Soha shared what kind of woman she wants Inaaya to grow into and stated, “I’d like to exhibit that kind of behaviour around Inaaya. I do want her to have a tough skin — I believe that in the world today, it’s important to have one, otherwise it can get to you. People are very direct and outspoken, and sometimes you hear things that can hurt us. She had further added, “Also, one must learn to respect other people’s opinions. If somebody disagrees with you, it doesn’t mean you block them out or you remove yourself from the equation. Sometimes, it’s good to have a healthy debate. And then, of course, you can agree to disagree as well. And live and let live.”
