In a piece of heartbreaking news, actress Sanchita Ugale, who was known for her role in Kumkum Bhagya, is no more. She died by suicide at the age of 22 at her home in Maharashtra’s Palghar district. Now, amid this, Sanchita's old post has gone viral, where she once wrote about what life made her do when she left her studies. The actress was found dead at her house reportedly located in the Nalasopara area at 7.00 p.m. on June 14, 2026 when the actress was all alone.

A few weeks ago, Sanchita Ugale took to her Instagram handle to share a reel featuring a transition between her old and new pics. She had posted a childhood snap of herself dressed as a little vegetable seller lady, a basket of vegetables on her head. It seemed as if Sanchita had taken part in a fancy dress event in school. Alongside it was written, "Padhai likhai chood kar acting try kare kya hi ho jayega?"

The video then had shots of the actress achieving fame after she became a heroine. It included her BTS shots from shows, her press event appearance for her movie, Chhaava. In her caption, she appreciated her younger self and wrote, "Hey, younger self, who faced it all. Grown-up Sanchita is super proud of you. Whatever choices you made were perfect, no regrets till now. You were your own hero. worked so hard, and you deserve every bit of joy. Keep going."

No foul play suspected in the death of Sanchita Ugale

According to social media reports, a police officer said that a team inspected the scene immediately after being alerted to the incident. They did not find anything suspicious at the spot, and no suicide note was recovered. The police official further revealed that the father of the actress did not suspect any sort of foul play or hold anyone responsible for the death of her daughter. Earlier, in an interaction, TV actress, Sanchita had showcased her respect for the TV industry and called it a platform which rewarded talent as well as hard work. Sanchita shared that she has great respect for TV, and that it is a platform that is fair to all. Sanchita shared that being on TV requires talent and hard work; there are no shortcuts here. It had helped her learn acting and face the camera. While she wanted to continue doing TV, her goal is to do movies.

TV actress, Sanchita Ugale once had revealed of speaking candidly related to the challenges she had faced when she tried to make her career in the movies. She is best known for her work in Chhaava, Silence 2 and more. The actress revealed that getting lead roles in Hindi cinema was difficult as she did not come from a nepotistic background.

Sanchita Ugale's body was sent to a government hospital for a post-mortem, and the cops have registered a case of accidental death. An investigation has been launched to find the real reason behind the extreme step taken by the actress. Sanchita Ugale was best known for playing the role of 'Diya Tandon' in the TV serial named, Kumkum Bhagya. She was also seen in Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kisse and then had got the lead role in Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi. Sanchita played the role of 'Tarabai' in Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava and played 'Sukoon' in Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi.
