Kritika Kamra got married to the man of her dreams, Gaurav Kapur, in a low-key ceremony. The gorgeous actress donned a sheen red-toned saree, while Gaurav Kapr complimented her in a beige-toned sherwani. The couple, just a few months back, confirmed their relationship, and speculations were rife that they would opt for a simple wedding.

Following the same, the couple made their first appearance as husband and wife, and it was all adorable. While the couple is starting a new phase in their lives, Gaurav's past also surfaced. Why did Gaurav Kapur divorce Kirat Bhatta?

Kirat Bhattal, a well-known actress, was seen in movies like Desiya Nedunchalai 47, Geleya, and Santosh Subramaniam, among others. Gaurav and Kirat got married in 2014. Kirat and Gaurav started dating in 2012, and within two years, they decided to get married. When asked about the same, Gaurav revealed to TOI that he realised that he reached a marriageable age, and thus, he should just settle down. He said:

"I suddenly realised I’ve reached a marriageable age and since we’d been seeing each other for some time it made sense to settle down."

The couple had a big-fat Punjabi wedding in 2014, and glimpses from the same spoke volumes about the blast they had. Over the years, they would share adorable glimpses from their marital life, and suddenly, things changed. Gaurav's fans were worried about him not posting much with his wife after 2020, and also about the limited social media presence of the actor.

However, later it was revealed that the couple decided to part ways. It was in 2021 that the couple was divorced. The reason for their divorce was never disclosed; however, it was a mutual decision, with both of them keeping the reason only known to them. However, reportedly irreconcilable differences were cited as the reason for Kirat and Gaurav's divorce after seven years of their marital bliss. To mention, the couple didn't have any children. While Gaurav found love in Kritika and got married recently, nothing much about Kirat's personal life is known yet.

Gaurav Kapur is quite a famous personality in the glamour world. Gaurav, who hails from Delhi, works in the entertainment world. He started his career while working in FM Radio, and eventually he became a VJ in Channel V. He was also seen in horror films like Darna Mana Hai, Ssshhh, and the remake of Sholay, Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag. Gaurav is best known for his work as a cricket host for pre-match IPL coverage, T20 coverage, and Cricbuzz Live.

He launched his YouTube podcast, Breakfast with Champions, in 2017 and instantly became famous for the same. With Kritika confirming her relationship with Gaurav, his personal life again grabbed the attention.
