On April 9, 2023, Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans locked horns and went on to play one of the most memorable matches in the last 16 long years of IPL. In the final over, KKR needed 28 runs in the final five deliveries of the match. It looked quite tricky, but it was Rinku Singh, who smashed five sixes in the last five balls played by Gujarat Titans’ bowler, Yash Dayal. The batsman scored an unbeaten 48 off 21 balls, which made KKR win over Gujarat by 3 wickets.

On April 9, 2023, Bollywood superstar and the co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, Shah Rukh Khan also congratulated Rinku Singh for his exceptional innings. The actor shared a picture of his film’s poster in which his face was replaced with Rinku’s. With the hilarious picture, Shah Rukh penned a lovely note in his tweet as he congratulated Rinku, Nitish Rana, and Venkatesh Iyer for their immense contribution to KKR’s important win. The actor also calls the match-winner ‘Rinku Baby’, and his tweet can be read as "JHOOME JO RINKUUUUU !!! My baby @rinkusingh235 and @NitishRana_27 and @venkateshiyer. You beauties!!! And remember Believe that’s all. Congratulations @KKRiders and @VenkyMysore Take care of your heart sir!" Rinku Singh also reacted to SRK's tweet and replied by tweeting:
"Shah Rukh sir yaar. Love you sir and thank you for your constant support."
Just when everyone thought that the match was out of the grip of KKR, Rinku Singh changed the entire flow of the game and gave KKR an unexpected win. Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan and his daughter, Suhana Khan also congratulated Kolkata Knight Riders’ batsman, Rinku Singh, for his match-winning innings. The brother-sister duo shared the same image on their respective Instagram stories. However, while Aryan wrote, ‘Beast’ atop it, it was Suhana, who penned, “Unreal”, on the story.

For the unversed, Rinku Singh is a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan. Time and again, we have seen him sharing pictures and selfies with the Bollywood superstar.
