Well now, another tragedy has struck the Agarwal family. As per reports, Ketan’s grandfather couldn’t handle the trauma of losing his grandchild and tragically passed away at the age of 71.
Ketan Agarwal’s grandfather passes away due to cardiac arrest
As per a recent report, Ketan Agarwal’s grandfather, Devichand Agarwal tragically passed away on July 4, 2026. He was only 71 years old. According to ANI, Devichand had been unwell since Ketan’s death on June 18, 2026. After nearly 16 days, Devichand suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away at 9:45 pm. It is worth noting that Ketan Agarwal’s family has not yet shared any update on the same.
Devichand Agarwal’s last wish was to see Ketan Agarwal’s killers get punished
Ever since 26-year-old businessman, Ketan tragically passed away, his grandfather, Devichand often spoke about the tragedy. On June 27, 2026, Devichand joined a candle march despite being unwell. During the same, he was seen getting extremely emotional. He also spoke to the media and said, "Siya and Chetan, should be awarded capital punishment."
A few days ago, Ketan’s grandfather, Devichand had a conversation with ANI, during which he revealed that his family knew Siya Goyal’s family for the past 35 years. As per him, Siya’s relatives knew everything about her affair with Chetan Chaudhary but they still forced Ketan’s family for the marriage. Devichand Agarwal was quoted as saying:
"Mere budhape ka sahara chala gaya. We knew the girl's family for 35 years. Their family knew that their daughter was in love with someone else…Her aunt and uncle pressed us for marriage. They told me 110 times that ‘Don’t worry, she is a very good girl'."

Further, Ketan Agarwal’s grandfather, Devichand also spoke about his last wish. He explained that he only wants Siya and Chetan to get the strictest punishment, preferably death. Even though he did not mention anything about his last wish, his unexpected death makes fans believe that seeing Siya and Chetan dead was his last wish.
It is worth mentioning that netizens are in shock after the death of both Ketan Agarwal and his grandfather, Devichand. One user commented, "Om shanti. Can't even imagine how deeply painful it must be for the Agarwal family. Strictest punishment to wrongdoers is must." Another user shared, "Omg! OM shanti! So sad and this unbearable pain was too much for him." A third user demanding strict punishment for Siya wrote:
"I think this stupid girl must be punished either by the justice system or outside of it by society if she is let free. She and all others who are escaping due to lack of evidence. Likewise all the killer drivers on the road!"
Ketan Agarwal died months after their ‘perfect’ engagement
For those who do not know, Ketan Agarwal passed away a few months after his picture-perfect engagement with Siya Goyal. The duo exchanged rings in February 2026 and were planning to tie the knot in November 2026. As per reports, Siya tried to kill Ketan nearly three times. The first attempt was on May 31, 2026; however, Ketan survived. The next attempt was planned for June 4, 2026. The third attempt was made on June 14, 2026, before successfully killing the businessman on June 18, 2026.
Currently, Siya Goyal and her boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary are in police custody and are going through an intense investigation. As per reports, Chetan’s alleged classmate and friend had details about their plan to kill Ketan and he was supposed to accompany them to the Lohagad Fort, but he refused. It is worth mentioning that the passing of Ketan’s grandfather might intensify and complicate the investigation.
