Christina Evangeline was born on March 24, 1989, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She prefers to keep a low profile and has shared very little about her early life and family. She is widely recognized as the former wife of comedian Kenan Thompson, but has carved her own path in wellness, philanthropy, and creative fields. She had a brief stint in modeling and acting. Notably, she appeared in the short film Mini Supreme, released in 2015.
Later, she shifted her focus to advocacy and launched Evermore, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals navigating grief and loss. Through Evermore, she has been an advocate for mental health and community healing, while also promoting mindfulness and balanced living. In addition to her nonprofit work, she has pursued her interest in interior design and other creative ventures.

Thompson and Evangeline's love story started in 2007. The duo tied the knot four years later in 2011. The couple preferred to stay away from the limelight, but stepped out together at major events, notably walking the Emmys red carpet in both 2018 and 2019. They became parents to two girls. In 2014, they had their first child, Georgia Marie, followed by Gianna Michelle in 2018. Reports of their split first emerged in 2022. However, sources revealed to TMZ that the separation had actually happened well over a year ago.
The pair decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage and more than 15 years as a couple. Court filings from June 2022 showed Thompson asked for equal custody of their daughters. Speaking on TODAY in December 2023, Thompson explained to Hoda Kotb that he kept the divorce chapter short in his memoir because he didn't feel it was right to tell a shared story without the other person present, so he limited himself to his own viewpoint.
While he has maintained silence about his relationships, Kenan Thompson has been open about how his life changed after becoming a father. He called his daughters his main focus and his sweethearts during that same appearance. He had previously claimed in another interview in 2020 that fatherhood was an overnight transformation that immediately changed his personality. He jokingly said that it made him less cool and more like a stereotypical dad who wears black socks with shorts and asks obvious questions in stores.
