Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are one of the much-loved couples in Bollywood. The duo never skips a chance to send their fans into a collective meltdown with their adorable bonding. Every now and then, Vicky opens up about his bonding with Katrina and the cutesy anecdotes instantly win our hearts. The same thing happened again, as Vicky shared some more anecdotes about his relationship with Katrina. However, it was Vicky's father, Sham Kaushal's cute revelation about his daughter-in-law that won our hearts.
In a recent interview with The Week Magazine, Vicky Kaushal's father, Sham Kaushal, recently praised his daughter-in-law, Katrina. Sham said that he and his wife, Veena, always missed having a daughter, and their wish was fulfilled when Katrina arrived in their lives. Sham also remarked that Katrina brings joy into their family, and she tries to speak in Punjabi while she understands everything.

He also shared that the Tiger 3 actress eats a lot of vegetables, which now the entire Kaushal family follows. Sham, in the same interview, made a rather emotional remark when he stated that if someone now introduces him, he asks them to tag him as the father of Vicky and Sunny and the father-in-law of Katrina. Sham said:
"She tries speaking in Punjabi and understands it perfectly. There are so many vegetables we eat now because she loves them so much. Now, when people ask me how they should introduce me, I tell them, ‘not as an action director, but as the father of Vicky and Sunny, and the father-in-law of Katrina Kaif.”
In the same interview, Vicky Kaushal added that Katrina is more committed to vegetarianism than he is, and she eats chhole bhature very rarely, while the actor just dives in it. Vicky also shared that whenever he and Katrina go to visit the former's parents, his mom, Veena becomes very happy, and she lauds her daughter-in-law for eating a lot of vegetables. Sharing that Katrina loves pancakes, Vicky added:
"She is way more vegetarian than I am. She enjoys simple food. Very rarely will she go for chhole bhature, but I would dive into that. My mother is happy whenever Katrina is home because, as she says, ‘All my life I have been trying to get these boys to eat tinde, beans, and turai and now I have a daughter-in-law who eats these every day.’ This is her staple food. She loves pancakes."
Going further in the interview, Vicky Kaushal mentioned that although he and Katrina come from two different backgrounds, they actually bind on the learnings that they inherited from their respective families, especially from their middle-class upbringing. Vicky mentioned that whenever his and his wife's families meet, the only difference in the members is linguistic. The Sam Bahadur actor mentioned how he loved and admired Katrina as a fanboy, Vicky shared:
"Katrina comes from a completely different geography. But if you meet her family, you will see that her core life principles are similar to mine. In terms of family, ours is a middle-class upbringing, what you have and how you have earned it. When we have family get-togethers, the difference is only linguistic. Actually, I was taken by surprise when I got to interact with her; it is not what it seems from afar. I was a fanboy and admired her for a long time… even if she was an astronaut, I would have fallen in love with her."

Angad Bedi and Neha Dhupia share a close bond with Katrina and Vicky. However, they recently shared some cute anecdotes about the couple. They said Vicky and Katrina are amazing hosts but are two different people. Neha and Angad shared that if Katrina is hosting a party, there will be several dishes, including turkey, fish, and gluten-free for the vegans, while if Vicky decides the menu, it will be full of Punjabi dishes. Neha and Angad also mentioned that while Katrina will play soft music for the party, in the evening hours, it will be up to Vicky to decide on the playlist, which will surely be filled with some rocking Punjabi music.
