If there is one couple whose relationship has been the talk of the tinsel town for the longest, it’s undeniably Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Every now and then, we stumble upon some news or a follow-up in their personal life and each time, we can’t help but think that this binary will never die down for sure. Though, they never accepted their relationship in the past, certainly, they mouthed their break up themselves. During the promotions of her upcoming film, Zero, Katrina has shared something which can’t go unmissed, even if you are not a Kat or Sallu bhai fan. Katrina told Mumbai Mirror, “Salman is a dear friend, and the best, seemingly bizarre thing, is that we may not speak for weeks, even months. But during this period, if something happens to upset me, he will suddenly show up.”
The Bharat actress further said, “It's strange because, at such times, I haven't confided in anyone for him to know yet he's there. It's just a strange coincidence and yet somehow comforting. Nothing needs to be said or done, but just the fact that it happens is reassuring. Beyond that, I also feel blessed to have my six sisters and mother who are a great source of support.”
In the same interview, when Katrina was asked if marriage and kids are on the cards for her, the 35-year-old actress shared, “It was on my mind but it didn’t work out and you have to keep following the path set for you in life. I don’t stress about it now. I fought that battle and am at peace with the fact that some things didn’t turn out the way I had hoped for. Katrina retorted and added, “What’s happened to me so far has been unusual and fascinating, and I can’t take credit for all of it. So, whoever is responsible, will look out for me in the future too. I know love will come to me at the right time when I least expect it. I could drop a book at the airport and as I bend down to pick it up, someone else goes down on his hunches too, to help me. I would look up, our eyes would lock and in that instant love would happen!”
Salman and Katrina have always been in the limelight. In fact, a source revealed to a media portal that his friends call her bhabhi. As per a media report, Salman’s friends could be quoted as saying, “Many of us call her ‘Katrina Bhabhi'. She is like that in Bhai's life - the dependable, most valued woman outside his mother and sisters.”
The report further added, “If Bhai had his way, he would've married her (Katrina) 10 years ago. But she didn't want to, for whatever reasons. Her career, perhaps. Besides Salman, the only serious relationship she got into was Ranbir Kapoor.” Sallu bhai's friends also revealed why Katrina wouldn’t marry him, and said, “I think Katrina has gone beyond a romantic relationship with Salman. She looks at him as a solid support system. In 2017, in an interview with Vogue, Salman Khan opened up about his thoughts when he first met Katrina. He was quoted as saying, “It was a small get-together. She had come home for a party and I thought she was one of the sweetest girls ever. She knew my sisters and all my friends, but she didn’t know me.”
