British Royal, Kate Middleton has been in the news for her absence. She was missing from the public eye after she underwent abdominal surgery for an unspecified reason in January 2024. People started speculating about her health condition and Prince William's alleged affair with Lady Rosa. Finally, on March 22, 2024, Princess Kate addressed the murmurs with a video message and left everyone in shock by announcing that she was undergoing cancer treatment.
Taking to the official Instagram handle of Prince and Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton shared a video message. In the clip, she wore a white and black striped sweater with a pair of jeans. She kept her look subtle with wavy hair. One could see Kate looked ill as she had difficulty talking about her health condition. Kate revealed that she underwent a major abdominal surgery on January 14, 2024, for a condition that was thought to be non-cancerous.

However, in a shocking turn of events, Kate revealed that after surgery, doctors found out about cancer, for which she is undergoing chemotherapy. She called the past few months extremely tough for her entire family. She added that her husband, William, has been a massive support for her, and they are doing their best to manage the situation privately for the sake of their young family. She was quoted as saying:
"This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family."
Kate Middleton further expressed how it has taken her time to recover from the major surgery and start her chemotherapy treatment. But, it has taken them a lot of time to explain everything to their three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, without freaking them out and reassuring them that everything will be ok. She said:
"It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be ok."

As soon as the news was shared, it also reached Prince Harry, who sent a message of support. For the unversed, Prince Harry had a major fallout with his brother, William, after he moved to California with his wife, Meghan Markle. However, in times of need, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stuck with their family and wished Kate good health and speedy healing. Their official statement can be read as:
"We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace."
