The alleys of Tinseltown are filled with news of various linkups between the actors. There was a time when Saif Ali Khan and his ex-wife, Amrita Singh's elder daughter, Sara Ali Khan was linked with Bollywood actor, Kartik Aaryan. According to reports and rumour mills, Kartik and Sara have dated for a brief period of time, but neither of them has ever talked about it freely.
The rumours about Sara and Kartik's romantic relationship had started to buzz around ever since Sara had revealed that she had a crush on Kartik Aaryan on Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan. Kartik had also shared a similar reaction to it. However, in a recent media interaction, the Dhamaka actor, Kartik Aaryan talked about their relationship.

In a recent interview with Navbharat Times, Kartik Aaryan, who was recently promoting his film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was asked whether linkup rumours are a part of the promotional stunt for movies to make them successful. To which, the actor hinted at his relationship with Sara Ali Khan and said:
"No, no. There was nothing promotional there. How do I explain this? No dear, I mean, we are humans as well. Not everything is promotional. This is all that I will say on this topic."
For the unversed, Kartik and Sara had worked together in the film, Love Aaj Kal, and during their shooting, they were rumoured to be dating. However, weeks before their film had released, the duo had parted ways, and as per reports, they had even unfollowed each other on social media platforms as well. Although their recent meetup at an award function had ignited the rumour mills about whether they are getting back together.

In an old interview with India West, when Sara Ali Khan was asked whether her personal bond with Kartik Aaryan had made their on-screen chemistry look realistic, the actress had given a perfect response. The Atrangi Re actress had said:
“Not at all! I think that on-screen has nothing to do with how well I know Kartik. Since I know him, we have more fun, but our on-screen characters only reflect a strong director with a strong idea. Love is a journey, filmmaking too is a journey, and what happens on sets was the result of work-shopping with Kartik, reading with him, and understanding what he was doing as my co-star. Yes, he gave me more cues than any of my co-actors, and I am grateful for that because it kept me happy, and in a good mental space.”
On the work front, Sara Ali Khan has a lineup of projects, including Vikrant Massey starrer Gaslight and an untitled film with Vicky Kaushal. On the other hand, Kartik Aaryan has Shehzada with Kriti Sanon.
