Bollywood’s blockbuster Dil To Pagal Hai was one of the top favourite films of every 90s kid. Released in 1997, the Yash Raj film turned out to be a cult classic. With a love triangle between Pooja, Rahul and Nisha, this romantic film showcased the finest works of Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor.
Apart from the film’s story, it was the music and the foot-tapping dance moves that became the soul of every party. Amid the many songs, Madhuri and Karisma’s face off in the song, The Dance of Envy is still considered the best and the most watched dance number. And now, after 26 years of the film’s release, Karisma Kapoor recreated the same with Madhuri Dixit.

Taking to her IG handle, Karisma Kapoor posted an array of pictures with Madhuri Dixit as the two leading ladies of the 90s were seen putting their best foot forward. Dressed in a black-coloured kurta set along with black sunglasses, Karisma looked stunning. On the other hand, Madhuri donned a floral dress.
In the glimpses, Karisma and Madhuri were seen attending a party while dancing their hearts out and having a gala time. In one of the pictures, the duo was also seen taking a selfie, making their fans nostalgic. Along with the pictures, Karisma penned a note, which can be read as:
“Dance of Friendship.”
In the era when films about family drama gained popularity, Dil To Pagal Hai came as a surprising element as it talked about modern-day love. Interestingly, this is the only film where Karisma Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan played the role of a couple. Another hidden fact of the film is that the role of ‘Nisha’ played by Karisma Kapoor was offered to four actresses, including Juhi Chawla, Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar and Kajol. Surprisingly, Karisma too had almost turned down the offer because of Madhuri Dixit.

On a reality television show, Karisma confessed that she had almost rejected the role because she had to dance with Madhuri Dixit. Sharing the details, she had said:
“Every single heroine refused the film. The role came to me...it was a dance film and that too to work opposite Madhuri Dixit, they said 'How can we dance alongside Madhuri Dixit ji!' Initially, I too said no to it as it was a dance film and competition dance with Madhuri Dixit. I said, 'This isn’t happening'. Then finally, Yash ji and Adi (Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra) narrated the story to me. My mother told me, 'You must take up the challenge. You are a big fan of Madhuri Dixit, you must do it. You work hard and you will shine.”
