Social media was buzzing with the reports of Karishma Tanna’s secret engagement with her real-estate businessman boyfriend, Varun Bangera, in November 2021. Later, her friends from the industry had confirmed the same. According to ETimes, Karishma will tie the knot on February 5, 2022, in Mumbai. Her mehendi, and sangeet will be on February 4, 2022, and haldi and shaadi will be on the following day. It was also reported that the couple will host a reception on February 6, 2022.
On January 13, 2022, the paparazzi had spotted Karishma Tanna outside a coffee shop. A video was doing the rounds on social media, wherein Karishma had confirmed her wedding date. When asked by the paps about her wedding date, she had shared that she will be tying the knot on February 5, 2022.

Now, according to another report in ETimes, Karishma Tanna has been planning the rituals of her wedding and has decided to curate a South Indian look for her post-wedding function. Her boyfriend, Varun Bangera, is a South Indian, who hails from Mangalore. Karishma wants to add his customs and traditions to their wedding and plans to wear a Kanjeevaram saree and traditional South Indian jewellery after her bidaai. The portal quoted Karishma’s friend as saying:
“Karishma has been planning her wedding wardrobe for quite some time. She wants to do something special for her husband-to-be and her in-laws, so she has picked a pink Kanjivaram sari with gold embroidery and has also bought authentic South Indian jewellery to perfect the look. She will be wearing the sari after her bidaai as she enters her new household. The wedding will be a mix of Gujarati and South Indian rituals.”
As the COVID-19 cases have been increasing at a rapid rate, there have been restrictions on weddings. While earlier, Karishma and Varun had plans for a big fat wedding, now, they have altered their plans. Karishma had also planned a bachelorette party with her friends. However, now it’s on hold. Talking about how Karishma and Varun are re-working their wedding preparations, the portal added:
“Karishma and Varun had planned a big fat wedding, which obviously isn’t possible in the current scenario. Keeping the COVID protocols in mind, the original list has been reduced to 50. However, that hasn’t dampened the spirit of the bride-to-be. A wedding is a big event and Karishma wants to make the most of her big day.”

On November 14, 2021, when reports of Karishma Tanna and Varun Bangera's engagement had flashed the headlines, their common friend, Suved had shared a cosy picture of the couple on his IG handle, confirming the same. In the picture, we could see the couple lost in each other’s eyes as they had snuggled together. Along with it, Suved had written:
"Two hearts one beat two bodies on soul. Congratulations to my man @varun_bangera and my KT.....the rumours should stop now."
