Having worked in dozens of films, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, has completed 21 years in Bollywood. Now, she is all set to make her debut in the digital world after her second child, Jehangir Khan. For most women, it becomes challenging to make a comeback after a career break. However, Bollywood diva Kareena has set an example by shooting for Laal Singh Chaddha throughout her second pregnancy. She had also returned to the sets of Veere Di Wedding in the year 2018, within a few days of delivering her first baby.
For the uninitiated, Kareena had tied the knot with the Nawab of Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan, in 2012, and after four years of their marital bliss, they had welcomed their little Nawab, Taimur Ali Khan, in 2016. Later, Kareena and Saif had become parents for the second time after they had given birth to their second son, Jehangir Ali Khan in Feb 2021. During her second pregnancy, Bebo was candid about her struggles. She had revealed that her first pregnancy was smooth, but it was the second pregnancy when she was feeling vulnerable during and after the delivery. To help all the soon-to-be mothers, Bebo had launched Kareena Kapoor’s Pregnancy Bible, which had included healthy tips to stay fit. The stunning actress had taken to her Instagram handle and had captioned the video as:
“This has been quite the journey…. both my pregnancies and writing my Pregnancy Bible. There were good days and bad days; some days I was raring to go to work and others where I struggled to get out of bed. This book is a very personal account of what I experienced both physically and emotionally through both my pregnancies. In many ways, this book is like my third child... from conception to its birth today.”

On March 16, 2022, Kareena took to her Instagram handle to confirm her OTT debut in Netflix’s original film directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The movie will be based on a 2005 Japanese bestseller, The Devotion of Suspect X, and it will also star, Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Verma. Revealing her cast and crew, Bebo shared a video and captioned it as:
“And so it begins…. 12th Street Entertainment & Northern Lights Films in association with Boundscript and Kross Pictures present a Netflix Original directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Produced by Jay Shewakramani& Akshai Puri. Produced by Sujoy Ghosh & Thomas Kim.”

In an interview with Hindustan Times, the mother-of-two revealed that she is excited to take the plunge after hearing the narrative of the murder mystery. Kareena shared:
“I’m very excited to be a part of this project for several reasons… This film will mark my streaming debut, and it’s my return to acting after my second child with a stellar cast and crew. The film is a screen adaptation of a work which was a global bestseller. It has so many aspects to it… murder, mystery, thrill and much more, which put in the hands of our inimitable director Ghosh is something I am eager to start work on.”
Further in the interview, the social media butterfly, Kareena shared that after the massive success of her husband, Saif Ali Khan’s web series, Sacred Games, OTT content was not anything new at her house. She revealed:
"I’m a huge consumer of content on OTT and I’m blown away by the quality of content available that suits every kind of audience. The OTT world is not new in our house, especially with Saif (Saif Ali Khan, husband and actor) who starred in one of India’s most well-known shows, Sacred Games.”
