The popular television actor is once again in the headlines, but this time, the reason behind it is not so appealing. As the Mumbai police has booked Karanvir Bohra along with five others for allegedly defrauding a 40-year-old woman of Rs. 1.99 crores.

According to ANI, a case has been registered against Karanvir Bohra and five others for allegedly defrauding a woman of Rs. 1.99 crores at the Oshiwara police station, Mumbai. The 40-year-old woman accused the actor of promising to return her sum of Rs. 1.99 crores with an interest rate of 2.5%. However, the woman mentioned in her complaint that Karanvir returned her only a sum of Rs. 1 crore, after which she decided to take legal action against him. ANI tweeted the details of the investigation so far, and it can be read as:
"Case registered against 6 people including actor Manoj Bohra alias Karanvir Bohra for allegedly cheating a 40-year-old woman of Rs 1.99 crores after promising to return it at 2.5% interest; woman claimed that only an amount of over Rs 1cr was returned: Oshiwara PS."
In another tweet by ANI, it was reported that the woman also accused Karanvir Bohra and his wife, Teejay Sidhu, of giving her death threats. The 40-year-old woman shared that when she requested the actor to return her remaining sum, he and his wife had threatened to shoot her. The Oshiwara police have registered the complaint, and the investigation into the fraud case has been initiated. The police also assured everyone that soon the statements of the accused in this case will be recorded. The tweet can be read as:
"The woman also claimed that when she asked for the amount, Bohra & his wife Tajinder Sidhu did not respond properly & threatened to shoot her. Police have started an investigation & will soon record their statements: Oshiwara Police Station."

The much-in-love couple had tied the knot in 2006, and after 10 years of marital bliss, the couple had embraced their parenthood journey on November 19, 2016, in Vancouver, Canada. As a result, Karanvir and Teejay had welcomed twin daughters, Bella and Vienna, into their lives. And it was in December 2020 when the couple had welcomed their third daughter, whom they had lovingly named Gia.
On the professional front, Karanvir Bohra was last seen in the reality show, Lock Upp.
