When a couple conceives, they name every moment since then to their little bundle of joy and dream of how life would be post the wait of those nine months. Be it looking forward to listening to their heartbeat, spotting their little one (literally!) in the ultrasound or finally holding their baby for the first time with happy tears in their eyes, a couple is on cloud nine when they are promoted to parenthood. Yeh Hai Mohabbatein fame, Karan Patel’s wife, Ankita Bhargava suffered a miscarriage in 2018 and eventually, the couple moved on with their lives. Karan got busy with his work commitments and pampering his wife, while Ankita found solace in painting, which added colours to her life. 2019 came as a special year for Ankita and Karan as their wish to embrace parenthood finally got fulfilled this year. After a lot of speculations, in November, Karan had confirmed his wife’s pregnancy and the lovebirds are proud parents to a little angel.
On December 14, 2019, Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava were visited by the stork with their little bundle of joy. And it was on December 20, 2019, when the newbie parents, Karan and Ankita had officially announced the arrival of their angel and had revealed her name. The poster shared by Karan and Ankita stated, "IT'S A GIRL! & we call her... Mehr Karan Patel Loving Parents, Ankita & Karan Patel." Karan and Ankita had captioned it as “All your blessings made our world beautiful, a heartfelt thankyou to all our well wishers .... #RabbDiMehr.”
Finally, on Christmas 2019, Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava treated their fans with the first-ever glimpse of their newborn daughter, Mehr Karan Patel. Cuddled in her daddy’s arms, Mehr looked adorable dressed in red and white as she twinned with her mommy, who wore a dress in the same colour combination. Before Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava had officially announced their daughter’s name, their close friends, Priyanka Vikaas Kalantri and Vikaas Kalantri had shared the same with their fans. Priyanka and Vikaas had visited the newbie parents and their baby girl at the hospital and sharing a picture with elated daddy, Karan, Priyanka had written, “Congratulations to the new Mommy @ankzbhargava and Daddy @karan9198 Mehr is such an angel You guys make a lovely family. Love you guys.” And Vikaas had captioned his post as “Congratulations to the new #daddy @karan9198 & #mommy @ankzbhargava in #town. Welcome to the #club guys The hands on KP was a welcome surprise. Lots & lots of love to the little princess.”
Scrolling through Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava’s tagged pictures on Instagram, we had also got hold of some unseen pictures from her baby shower. One of the pictures had Karan wearing a dad-to-be sash holding baby stuff in his hands, and the other picture had him, posing with ‘welcome little one’ prop and Ankita holding a ‘team pink’ prop.
Karan Patel had confirmed the news of his baby girl’s arrival in a statement to the media, which could be read as "Am numb overjoyed and a little intimidated the only soul who has given me such emotions all at one go, Ankita is doing well and our families would like to thank each and everyone who has loved us and continue to bless us." Ankita Bhargava's father, Abhay Bhargava had also stated, “We are elated with the arrival of our granddaughter. Both the families — the Patels and the Bhargavas —- wanted a girl and God has blessed us with one.
