When a man is about to get married, all he is worried about is, how his wife will gel-up with his mother. Soon he will not only be a mother’s beloved and pampered son but will also be a doting husband to his wife. But looks like Kapil Sharma had no such worry as he feels that contrary to the common perception that a girl/guy changes after the wedding, it is his mother who has changed. It was on December 12, 2018, when Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath had taken vows around the sacred fire and were tied by the bond of holy matrimony. And now in 2019, Kapil and Ginni will not only celebrate their first anniversary but also the arrival of a new addition in their sweet little family. Kapil and Ginni are on cloud nine as in just a few months, the stork will visit them with an adorable little member, who will fill their lives with love and happiness.
Kapil Sharma has risen like a phoenix with his weekend telecast, The Kapil Sharma Show, and just like always, his audience would break into jolts of laughter at the jokes that he would make. While an array of celebrities have appeared on the show for the promotions of their film, October 5-6 weekend will witness Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Farhan Akhtar spreading their magic, promoting their upcoming movie, The Sky Is Pink. Since this is the first time post Priyanka and Kapil’s weddings that the two have met, the former left no opportunity to pull his leg on the show.
While Kapil Sharma began the show with Priyanka Chopra Jonas with his usual flirting, PeeCee took a chance to ask him some questions related to his wedding which made everyone go ROFL (Rolling On Floor Laughing, silly!) Priyanka asked her first question to Kapil, “Agar aunty ne ek taraf se ghar se tumko bulaya aur dusri taraf se Ginni ne bulaya, same time pe, kahan jaoge?” To which, Kapil’s hilariously responded, “Yeh alag hote hi nahi. Saath me rehti hai.” And then came pat reply by his mother, “Pehle wife ke paas jayega fir mere paas aayega.” Priyanka then asked her next question, “Agar aapme aur Ginni ke beech me thodi si nok-jhok ho jaaye, to kisko manaoge pehle tum?” While Kapil was thinking of a diplomatic answer, his mother replied, “Pehle wife nu manayega” to which Kapil said, “Log bolte hai shaadi ke baad ladka/ladki badal jaate hai, meri maa hi badal gayi hai.”
In July 2019, Kapil Sharma had confirmed that he and his wife, Ginni Chatrath are expecting their first child in December 2019. ‘Laughter Queen’ Bharti Singh, who works with Kapil on The Kapil Sharma Show, had bared her heart out about him and Ginni. Praising Ginni to the fullest, Bharti had revealed in an interview with the TOI, what a darling, the star wife is! She had remarked, “Ginni is such a wonderful and warm person. Whenever the TKSS team visits Kapil bhaiya's house for rehearsals, they are served with delicious food. Even though they have three cooks, Ginni personally looks after everything and instructs them what needs to be done. Further talking about Kapil Sharma and revealing how he is a changed man after his wedding with Ginni Chatrath, Bharti Singh had continued, “He has changed a lot after marriage. I remember Kapil bhai used to party a lot, but he has stopped everything. He has stopped drinking, smoking and eats ghar ka khaana (home-cooked food). He wraps-up shoot by max 10-10:30 and heads straight home to spend time with his wife Ginni. We used to eat so much bahar ka khaana but everything has stopped and now even we have to go back to home after pack up (laughs).”
Putting an end to the speculations and validating his wife, Ginni Chatrath’s pregnancy, Kapil Sharma had stated, "I just want to take care of my wife and be by her side for now. We are obviously very excited as it's our first kid but my mother is the most excited. She has been waiting for this moment for years now. We are just praying for Ginni and the baby's health." Revealing how the Sharma-Chatrath family is happily looking forward to welcoming the new member in their clan, Kapil Sharma had continued, "There is no prep because we don't know if it would be a boy or girl. It's a happy time for the family and everybody is looking forward to welcoming the new member. I am dubbing for a film for children. So, once the baby grows up, it will pay off."
In an interview with Pinkvilla post-marriage, Kapil Sharma had talked about his wife, Ginni Chatrath’s bond with his mother, Janak Rani. Kapil had said, “After Ginni has come in our family, my mother spends more time with her. Sometimes, I feel they share a deeper bond and tuning than me. Ginni loves my mother a lot and via versa.” Speaking about Ginni being his lucky charm, Kapil had added, “I believe in this completely. There are so many responsibilities on both professional and personal front which now Ginni takes care of, so I don't have to worry so much.
