Kanye West's Accuser, Jenn An Gets Teary-Eyed As She Recalls Sexual Assault Incident, 'Choking Me..'

Renowned rapper, Kanye West is hogging the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Yes, you read it right. Recently, Kanye and his wife, Bianca Censori, grabbed the limelight with their rare sweet moment. It was all things romantic as the rapper looked lovingly at his better half. However, in a recent interview, Kanye was accused of sexual assault by a model. The model named Jennifer An, also known as Jenn An, was hired to appear in the US music video for La Roux's hit song, In For The Kill.

Model, Jennifer An, recalls the shooting when Kanye West came over to the set

In an exclusive interview with the BBC, model, Jennifer An recalled being hired to appear in the US music video for La Roux's hit song, In For The Kill. At the time, she was 24 and did not know at that stage that Kanye West would be on set. Jennifer alleged that when she turned up for the shoot at the Chelsea Hotel in New York, the rapper arrived and took over the set. Recalling the time, Jenn said that the team were mid-shoot when the crew members suddenly stopped working and began "running around the Chelsea Hotel, they're like, 'Kanye's coming, Kanye's coming.'"

Shortly after Kanye’s arrival, the models were lined up in the hallway. Then Kanye chose three girls from the group of models, including Jennifer An. The model claimed that Kanye was unable to remember his lines and shouted cut. He turned his attention to shooting a different scene. According to Jenn, Kanye pulled one chair and placed it in front of the camera and sat on another chair facing her. As he was out of the frame, the video didn’t feature him. Jennifer stated that she knew nothing at that point and just sat on the chair.

Model, Jennifer An, is currently suing American rapper, Kanye West, over a harrowing encounter she alleges took place in 2010. During the same interview, Jennifer got emotional as she narrated how she allegedly was sexually assaulted by Ye. Recalling the disturbing incident, Jen mentioned that after the music started and the cameras were rolling, Kanye allegedly choked her with his hand. According to Jenn, Kanye allegedly tried to 'simulate oral sex'. She added that Kanye also smeared her makeup on her face. Jenn stated that not a single person at that time intervened. She was quoted as saying:

"All of a sudden he just reaches a hand out and starts choking me, and I'm just not sure what's happening. And then, he pulled his other hand out and starts choking me with both hands, and then starts smearing my makeup all over my face and sticking his hands inside of my mouth. I feel like he was like trying to touch as much as he could. It ended when he yelled something like, 'this is art, I'm Picasso'. And shortly after that, he was just like 'OK, I got what I want'. But he just abruptly got up and left."

Jennifer An gets candid about how the alleged incident had a bad impact on her

Further in the interview, the model was asked whether she tried to stop Kanye when he tried to misbehave with her. In response, Jennifer said that she didn’t say anything as she was shocked and frozen back then. Jenn stated that she was also scared to say a word because she thought that would make her lose her job. However, after the alleged incident, she connected with singer, La Roux, whose name is Elly Jackson and shared about what had happened.

Elly reportedly backed the model. Later, in 2024, Jennifer filed her civil lawsuit against Kanye West under New York City's Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act. At the time, she also reconnected with Elly and asked her whether she remembered the alleged incident. Elly allegedly replied and said:

"I could never forget that, it was horrific."
