In a candid interview with ETimes, Kanishka Soni talked about the possibility of getting married to a man in the coming future and rested all the doubts once and for all. The actress clearly stated that she isn't going to trust any man for the rest of her life. Also, reflecting on the way men treated her and the kind of experience she had in the Indian showbiz industry, she is very much convinced that she isn't going to get married to a man ever. Kanishka also admitted that her move wasn't inspired by Kshama Bindu, a girl from Vadodara, who married herself. In her words:

"It's not a decision that I took overnight. I don't even know that a girl from Vadodara has married herself. My past abusive relationships have made me take this step. Also, my experiences in showbiz acted as a catalyst. It won't be an exaggeration to say that I hate men and don't trust them anymore. I love myself and believe self-love is the truest form of love, with no expectations. Rather than looking for love and getting trapped in a relationship that's toxic, I felt this was a good way where I can be loved without any conditions, something no one else in the world can do."

Going further in the interview, Kanishka Soni also talked about her marriage ceremony and how everything was done in her self-marriage. Reflecting on the same, Kanishka revealed that there were no rituals and one day after she decided to marry herself, she had donned a mangalsutra and put some sindoor in her maang, and once she was convinced of her decision and happiness, she uploaded the same on her social media handle. It was on August 6, 2022, when she had shared a picture of herself wearing mangalsutra and sindoor. Opening up about the same, she said:

"I didn't have a wedding with any rituals. I started wearing a mangalsutra and sindoor recently and announced my marital status on social media on August 6."

However, Kanishka added that she is in love with kids and has already decided to adopt a child in the future, but when she will be financially strong. When the actress was asked to shed some light on the kind of reactions she had received from her parents once she had told them about her idea of marrying herself. Kanishka said:

"People have been asking me and also commenting on social media about my physical needs, which most feel can only be fulfilled by a man. I would like to tell them that I am a yoga practitioner and know how to control my desires. I love children, so I might want to adopt one, but only when I feel I am settled in life. My family and friends have been extremely supportive and have welcomed my decision. When I shared this with my mom, she was very supportive, too. My loved ones know that I cannot go wrong and I have never compromised in my life."

For the unversed, Kanishka Soni is currently in the US and has no plans to return to India.
