Kanika Sharma Breaks Down After Receiving Online Hate For Marrying Muslim Man, 'Mujhe Gali Bakte Ho'

Famous influencer and YouTuber, Kanika Sharma, known for creating funny content online with Saqib Saifi, is at the centre of receiving hate. It all started after Kanika announced her marriage to Saqib and how the two got married as per Hindu and Muslims rituals. However, Kanika had not known that soon she would be subjected to the most hateful remarks for her decision to marry out of her religion.

Kanika Sharma and Saqib Saifi have been the most-loved duo known for making funny 'husband-wife' content. It is worth mentioning that the two were not married back then. People simply loved their chemistry. However, in March 2026, Kanika and Saqib got married in Hindu and Muslim ceremonies. Kanika comes from a Hindu Brahmin family, while Saqib is a Muslim. 

Soon, people started trolling them and sending hate towards Kanika for marrying out of her religion; they even dragged her family. In response, Kanika took to her Instagram handle and shared a long video slamming the trolls. In the clip, she slammed those who have been abusing her and her family. Kanika challenged the so-called flag-bearers of religion that they would not have done what their family does every day as being a Sanatani.

Kanika revealed that her brother has been taking care of cows and helping those in need without worrying about his health. And it is her father, who has been giving him money to take care of the cows. She further slammed those who say that they would boycott the family as Kanika married outside of religion. She even called out those who have been calling her bad words. She said:

"Aap mujhe gaaliyan derahe ho, mere maa baap ko gaaliyan derahe ho, mere bhai o gaaliyan derahe ho, aap hote kaun ho? Aap mujhe gaaliyan dete ho, mujhe r**ndi bolte ho, iske saath shaadi Karli yeh karliya woh karliya aap hote kaun ho? Haq kisne diya mujeh gaali dene ka? meri maa ko galai doge? mere baap ko bologe kiski aulad hai yeh?"

Kanika was heartbroken and got teary-eyed over the remarks she had been receiving for marrying outside of her religion. She seemed visibly hurt and frustrated over the judgmental views on her marriage with Saqib and people dragging her entire family and calling her a 'kalank'. Sharing the video, she wrote:

"This video is for my papa. Mere papa ka bhahishkar karne se pehle unke jaise banna padega. Apni kamai mei se 20 saal se seva mei kharch kiya shayad itna abhi tumne kamaya bhi nahi hoga jitna mere papa ne brahman hone ke naate kharch kiya, meri mummy ne kisi janwar ko bhooka nahi jaane diya gully se kabhi, Mere bhai jitni chotein khayi hai seva karne mei kabhi ginai nahi, Kyuki hum brahman hai isiliye seva karte hain, Na kanika sharma se kabhi sharma hatega naahi kisi ki itni aukat ke vo hata sake, Asli Sanatani Bano, Sanatani Influencer Nahi Ram Ram."

For the unversed, Kanika and Saqib have been in a relationship for many years before getting married. As per reports, they met on the internet and started working together to create YouTube videos, and eventually fell in love. Their families supported their decision, and it was Saqib who revealed that his in-laws were the ones who helped the two get married. After the marriage, they faced a lot of hate. People started trolling him for their relationship and marriage. Some even called for boycotting Kanika and her family, while there were a few who supported them.
