Yesterday, we brought you the story of Rubina Dilaik’s mehendi look. Dressed in a floral gown with minimal makeup and teaming it up with a crop top jacket with mehendi applied on her hands and feet, Rubina’s wedding glow was evident on her face.

Now, her good friend and co-star, Kamya Punjabi is not present at the on-going wedding because of her professional commitments. When SpotboyE earlier approached Kamya and asked what she would be gifting Rubina on the latter’s wedding, Kamya replied, “I asked Rubina what she wants as a gift, and believe it or not, she wants us all to contribute and gift her a solid diamond, a solitaire, and in that moment I swore to myself that I’m not making the mistake of asking Rubina again! (laughs)”.

Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla are getting married at the famous Woodville Palace of Shimla, the same palace which was used in the Hindi movie, 3 Idiots. On her Instagram handle, Rubina earlier wrote a wonderful message as her wedding invite. She shared the following picture and captioned it, “True Love nurtures and nourishes the soul! With this thought we @ashukla09 wanted to gift “a life” to our friends to mark the beginning of our new journey and thank them for being with us through our thick and thin. The love is not only for people and by people but we both have love for nature as well hence, physically our invite is organic and totally biodegradable! The cards are made of MDF wood and recycled paper! We want to encourage people to keep weddings fun and nature-friendly!”.
Earlier, when it was finalised that Rubina and Abhinav’s wedding shall be held in Shimla, Rubina was quoted as saying to a media portal, “We have chosen Shimla for various reasons. To begin with, most of our relatives are settled there. However, the prewedding functions will take place in Mumbai and Ludhiana, which Abhinav’s hometown".
She further added, “We are not going in for an elaborate ritual, as for us, what matters most is the saat phere. We both wanted it to be an outdoor affair. Abhinav, being an adventure junkie, wished to exchange vows amidst the mountains, in the lap of nature. I, too, wanted a day wedding with lots of natural light and greenery around”. About her hubby-to-be, Rubina shared, “I call him a Pandora box – he is full of surprises. He is so creative that each time, he’ll surprise you with magnificent creations that your interest in human beings just grows. And whenever I see him do something new, I get all the more attracted towards him. I feel blessed that I’m leading my life with a person who knows how to live each and every day preciously”.
