When you hear the news of your pregnancy, your heart skips a beat and you enter a different world of emotions and happiness. Within the first few weeks, you start to find a perfect name for your child, how you will be celebrating his/her birthday months and what all toys he/she will play with. What all food will be suitable for your little munchkin, you start to plan everything, months in advance. You wish every month to pass by in a blink of an eye so that you can hold your furball in your arms and give him/her all the love and care.
When you start family planning, you keep everything in your mind and wait for the good news to knock on your door. But, when God plans to send a sweet little surprise, the happiness doubles altogether. The same thing happened with Sacred Games 2 star, Kalki Koechlin. Kalki is an ardent social media user and loves to post about her whereabouts on social media platforms. She had taken to Instagram to announce her pregnancy on September 29, 2019. Kalki is expecting her first child with her Israeli boyfriend, Guy Hershberg and the duo is expecting their child in January 2020. The best moment in a girl’s life is when she gets a green signal on her pregnancy test. Kalki Koechlin, in an interview with Pinkvilla, opened up about her first reaction to her pregnancy test and about being a mother for the first time. Speaking about her first reaction, Kalki shared, “I was like this can't be right, it’s a mistake. We weren't planning for it right now, so I immediately went and got another test done. When I was absolutely sure, I was happy, but I wasn't sure at the beginning."
Embracing motherhood without entering into marital bliss is still considered an age-old stereotype and women are looked from a different angle altogether. Kalki Koechlin too faced such harsh comments when she had announced her pregnancy and trollers had made some nasty comments on her relationship. She was even asked, “where’s the husband?” Speaking on the similar lines, Kalki revealed that her close friends and family members are very supportive of her decision and said, “Whenever it comes to my building, my neighbours and the people around me, they all know I'm not married and they are super supportive. They are really very sweet."
Celebrities' life is an open book and they often have to face harsh and negative comments on their personal life. Kalki has also been a victim of nasty comments on her personal as well professional life. Being judged on her looks to her love life, Kalki has faced the trollers like a pro and thinks it’s ok for the trollers to troll. During the same interview, Kalki said, “Trolling happens even when you are not pregnant...Even if you are not a celebrity and have an opinion, which is all out there, people will have their views and it is okay." In an interview with Miss Malini, Kalki Koechlin had revealed how she had first reacted when she had heard the news of her pregnancy, “I went and immediately bought another pregnancy test, just to make sure. But it was a very happy reaction. I think the last few years have been a situation where, I know I have wanted children, but I was also not been in. either the times weren’t right, or I wasn’t with the right person. Or whatever, there was something! So, all those things seemed to have come in place this time. Even though it wasn’t planned as we were thinking maybe in a year or two. But I think that’s the best thing about it. Now we are just diving right into it without too much pre-planning.”
Kalki Koechlin is in a long-distance relationship with Guy Hershberg. In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Kalki had revealed whether Guy was happy when he heard the news of Kalki’s pregnancy and how their long-distance relationship had helped her evolve as a person. She had revealed, “Oh yes, and he was jumping with joy. It’s a process of gradual trust. Ironically, the distance helped us communicate a lot more since we don’t have the luxury of seeing each other every day. He has spent his life teaching children piano so, he’s going to be the disciplinarian, the more experienced parent I feel.” (Do Read: Shweta Tiwari's Son And Daughter's 'Baby Shark' Rap Session On Bhai Dooj Is So Adorable)
