On September 23, 2020, Kajol wished her mother, veteran actress, Tanuja ji on her 76th birthday with a heartfelt note expressing how she taught her the different avatars of a woman and that she will forever be her baby. Check out her post!
Sharing a picture with her mother, Tanuja ji, on her IG handle, Kajol wrote, ""When I'm with you I'm standing with an army." Happy birthday to the one person who showed me all the avatars of a woman. Warrior, wife, mother, sister, woman, human and spirit! Happy birthday, momma. Love you so much. Am eternally grateful that u chose me for a daughter.... always and forever #foreveryourbaby." Donning ethnic attires, the mother-daughter duo is a sight to behold in this throwback picture!
Tanuja's younger daughter, Tanishaa Mukerji also curated a sweet birthday wish for her mommy. Sharing an array of pictures with her mom and sister, Kajol, Tanishaa wrote, "Happyy birthday my earth mother. You are mischief. You are grace. You are love. You are nature. You are soul. Not only this, the doting daughter, Tanishaa had taken to her IG handle yesterday on September 22, 2020, and had shared rare pictures from her mom's 1976 Gujarati film, Malavpati Munj. In the monochrome pictures, Tanuja ji had looked ethereal in a saree and flower garlands around her neck and wrists. Along with the pictures, Tanishaa had written, "#happybirthdayweek #happybirthdaymommy."
On May 10, 2020, Kajol had shared a smiling selfie with her mommy, Tanuja ji and had penned an appreciation post for her mother. Her post could be read as "Me n mom mom n me me n mom mom n me....Never ending of infinity. I am a good mom today because I had the most awesome blueprint to follow. Grateful everyday."
Last year on Tanuja ji's 75th birthday, Tanishaa had shared an adorable wish for her. Tanishaa had taken to her IG handle and had posted two pictures. The first one had featured Tanuja ji, Kajol and Tanishaa in the frame, which she had captioned as "Happy birthday my darling mother… we are because of you!" And the second was a solo picture of Tanuja ji, alongside which she had written, "Happy birthday day mommy!" At the 59th Filmfare Awards, when Tanuja ji was felicitated with the Lifetime Achievement Award, her daughters, Kajol and Tanishaa had accompanied her. While walking the red carpet, Tanuja ji was asked about Tanishaa’s marriage plans. To which, she had replied, “I don’t need to worry about Tanishaa’s marriage as I know, the day she decides to get married, she will come and tell me.” Tanishaa had added, “Our lifetime has just started so marriage will happen when it has to happen.
