Despite the fact that the duo is poles apart from each other, the way they have balanced out their relationship is beautiful. They have been married for 22 years now and are blessed with two kids, Nysa Devgan and Yug Devgan. Kajol loves both her kids equally, but the fact that Nysa stays away from her breaks her heart, and she often remembers the good old days with her daughter.
For the unversed, Nysa Devgan is pursuing her higher studies at a university in Singapore. In 2020, after the first wave of COVID-19, the star kid had flown back to Singapore to resume her classes and was accompanied by her mother, Kajol. Just like her star parents, Nysa too holds a huge fan following at the mere age of 18, and even though her IG handle is private, she has many fan pages, which give an inside scoop of her personal life. On October 22, 2021, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge actress, Kajol dropped a picture along with her daughter, Nysa Devgan, on her Instagram handle. In the picture, the mommy-daughter duo twinned in white. Though Nysa has imbibed the calm and composed nature of her father, Ajay Devgan, in this picture, the star kid can be seen looking like an exact reflection of her mother. Along with the picture, Kajol wrote, ''Miss u baby girl..''
On Nysa Devgan's 18th birthday, on April 20, 2021, Kajol had posted a throwback picture to mark her special day. Along with the adorable picture, Kajol had expressed her experience of embracing motherhood for the first time. She had penned down how nervous she was during Nysa's birth and had written, "I was so nervous when u were born. It was the biggest exam of my life and I had all those fears and feelings that go with it for a whole year at least.''

Going further in her heartmelting note, Kajol had wished happy adulthood to Nysa and had added, ''Then u turned 10 and I realised I was a teacher just part of the time most of the times I was a student learning new ways to do things and look at them. And now we come to today and I can finally say I passed with flying colours. U are what we all say women should be so fly high my darling and don’t tone down ur shine for anyone. I’ve got ur back! Happy adulthood. You have the tools so use your powers for good."
A few months back, Nysa Devgan had made her spot on the trending list with her viral video, dancing to her mom, Kajol's songs. The star kid had danced her heart out to the hit tracks from her superstar mom's movies, starting from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham's song, Bole Chudiyan, to Tere Naina and Sajda from the film, My Name Is Khan. After watching Nysa perform on-stage, it was quite evident that she is a star in the making and had made her mom proud of her.
