Kajal Aggarwal is one of the most gorgeous and successful divas in the pan-Indian film industry. Apart from her contributions to Bollywood, Kajal has predominantly worked in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. She made her debut with the Hindi film, Kyun! Ho Gaya Na, where she had a small cameo role to play. Thereafter, it was the highest-grossing Telugu film, Magadheera in 2009 that gave her widespread fame and recognition. In her personal life, Kajal is married to Gautam Kitchlu and the duo was blessed with a son, Neil on April 2022.
In a recent interaction with Deccan Chronicle, Kajal Aggarwal opened up about balancing her life and career as an actress, vis-a-vis fulfilling her mommy duties towards her son, Neil. The diva highlighted how in her profession, there is an absence of striking a work-life balance as it is, and added that feeling mother’s guilt has never escaped her. She mentioned:
“Who doesn’t want to be part of their child’s everyday activities? Mom’s guilt is hard and will never go away. I think it’s something many working women experience. Honestly, there's no concept of balance in my industry, as we work round-the-clock. But it’s the choices that one makes that provides the balance.”

Further in the revelation, Kajal mentioned how, in recent time, she has tried to accommodate and space out more time for her son by curtailing the number of films that she takes up in a year, Although she emphasised that she chooses to say no to a film, however, for those which she agrees to do, it hurts her since she has to take out time reserved for her baby boy. In her words:
“Earlier, I used to do 6-8 films in a year, but now I am taking up only 50 per cent of that. I don’t want to compromise on the quality of my work either. I like to do everything personally for my baby. When I choose to work for a film, and have to take time to stay away from my kid, that hurts too.”
In the concluding segment of the interview, Kajal spilt beans on how she manages to take out time for her son, amidst her hectic work schedule. The diva mentioned that she travels along with her son for the shoots, and even credited her mom for being there with her son, such that she could meet her son in between shoots and breaks. Kajal said:
“Sometimes it gets extremely challenging. But when you are a working mom, you need to create that balance. Luckily, my mom travels with me, and I keep checking on my baby during lunch breaks. It is difficult, but I guess every woman has to work around it."

Back in June 30, 2023, Kajal Aggarwal hosted a QnA session on her social media handle and answered her fans’ queries. During the same, the actress opened up on an unheard anecdote from her motherhood journey and revealed that she had dealt with post-partum depression post the birth of her son, Neil. She credited her husband, Gautam for dealing with her, when she gave him a tough time during that phase. Kajal then revealed that she cured of it by spending time with herself, which included doing her favourite hobby or doing a quick workout.
