Given that there was already much discussion about Jen's personal life, her second divorce also became a hot topic during that time, and there were several buzz and reports around the same. However, do you know that the divorce reason between Justin Theroux and Jen was not even a dramatic one, as speculated? Justin Theroux once opened up about the same.

Speaking to Esquire, Justin Theroux revealed that the speculations around him and Jennifer that they broke up because he wanted to live in New York and the actress wished to live in Los Angeles aren't at all true. He also shared that people create narratives to make themselves feel good and simplify things for themselves only, but it doesn't necessarily mean that all of these are true. He mentioned that all the speculations around aren't true for the most part, but it's just a simplification. Justin Theroux could be quoted as saying:
"We don’t talk every day, but we call each other. We FaceTime. We text. Like it or not, we didn’t have that dramatic split, and we love each other. I’m sincere when I say that I cherish our friendship. We can not be together and still bring each other joy and friendship. It would be a loss if we weren’t in contact, for me personally."

While Jen and Justin Theroux parted ways, they never let the friendship between them fade out. In the same interview, Justin Theroux revealed that while he and Jennifer didn't talk to each other every day, they used to call and text and even FaceTime each other.

He stated that his and Jen's split was not a dramatic one; rather, they used to love each other, and that he would always cherish the friendship between them. He stated that they couldn't be together as a couple, but they surely could share and bring each other joy and happiness, being friends, and thus, if they were not in contact, then it would be a personal loss to him, as he said. "That’s a narrative that is not true, for the most part,” he explained. “People create narratives that make themselves feel better or simplify things for them. That whole ‘This person likes rock ‘n’ roll, that person likes jazz. Of course!’ That’s just not the case. It’s an oversimplification."
Speaking of Justin and Jen's respective personal lives, Justin has recently become a dad. Yes! Justin Theroux tied the knot with Nicole Brydon Bloom back in March 2025, and it was in December 2025, when the couple announced their pregnancy. Well, it was on April 19, 2026, Justin and Nicole took to their social media handles and announced the birth of their son. Speaking of Jen, she has been dating health and wellness expert, hypnotist, and author, Jim Curtis. The couple has been together for almost one year now, and it was on his birthday when the actress confirmed their romance.
