Justin Baldoni Reacts To The Dismissal Of Blake Lively's Harassment Claims Against Him, 'We Are..'

A legal battle has been ongoing between It Ends With Us co-stars, Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, since December 2024. The long-standing battle between Justin and Blake has kept the entire industry on their toes.

It all began with the creative differences between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, who starred in the movie, It Ends With Us, an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel. Well, what followed was simply unexpected. Blake Lively accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harrasment and fat shaming. Now, a judge has dismissed 10 out of 13 claims of Blake against Justin, and he reacted to the same.

For the unversed, Blake Lively accused Justin Bladoni of fat-shaming her. It was only a few days ago, when Us Weekly obtained the texts of the actress, wherein she claimed that Justin had asked her trainer about her weight, being worried about lifting her, required for several scenes in the movie, It Ends With Us. Well, recently, a judge has dismissed all the claims, stating that 'they couldn't reasonably support a claim'.

Reportedly, 10 out of 13 cases have been dismissed, leaving only three for the actress to pursue, which are breach of contract, retaliation, and aiding and abetting retaliation. This surely marks a significant win for Baldoni, and his attorneys, Alexandra Shapiro and Jonathan Bach, recently reacted to the same.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the actor's attorneys said that it's pleasing that the serious allegations against Justin and others have been dismissed after the court's careful review of the facts. A face-off has been scheduled for May 18, 2026, for the remaining three cases. According to Justin Baldoni's attorneys:

"We’re very pleased the Court dismissed all sexual harassment claims and every claim brought against the individual defendants: Justin Baldoni, Jamey Heath, Steve Sarowitz, Melissa Nathan, and Jennifer Abel. These were very serious allegations, and we are grateful to the Court for its careful review of the facts, law and voluminous evidence that was provided."

To mention, in her allegations, Blake Lively said that Baldoni crossed professional boundaries and kissed her while shooting for It Ends With Us, even when the script didn't call for it. She also alleged that the actor showed her a video of his wife giving birth while she was breastfeeding. Well, all these claims were dismissed as the actress's attorney reacted to the same.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Lively's attorney stated that this case will always be in focus over the devastating retaliation and the steps that the defendants took to destroy the actress's reputation, who stood up for her safety on the set. For the unversed, it was Judge Lewis Liman who mentioned that the legal contracts that Lively cited are 'unenforceable' because she didn't sign them.

As per the actress's attorney, sexual harassment isn’t going forward because the court determined that Blake Lively was an independent contractor, not an employee, and not because the defendants did nothing wrong. For the unversed, it was in December 2024 when Lively sued Baldoni, claiming that she lost USD 161 million in earnings and damages, while the actor counter-sued her and her husband, Ryan Reynold in a USD 400 million lawsuit.
