This came as a shock, as they were once inseparable. Julia tied the knot with People frontman Mark Foster in 2019, and they were stuck in their homes for a year due to the pandemic.
Julia and Mark share a 10-year age gap
Julia Garner is 31, and Mark Foster is 42 years old. The couple had a 10-year age gap, and in their time together, it never looked as if age was any problem. The couple first crossed paths in 2013, and began dating years later after reconnecting on Instagram. The actress revealed that Mark would like her posts, and she noticed after, so she followed him back. She shared:
"I was like, 'Who's this guy liking all my photos? Is this a stalker?' I clicked on him, and I was like, 'Oh, Mark. Oh, he's cute. I'm going to follow him back.' Then he DM'd me."How long have they been together?"
Mark took it as an opportunity to start communication, and he sent her a direct message. From being friends, they hopped on the next level. They got engaged on a trip to Montana in 2019, where Mark went down on his knees and proposed to her. He had. written a beautiful poem for her, which swept her off her feet more than the expensive diamond ring. She once said:
"He read me a poem he had written to me, and when he finished, he dropped to a knee and asked me to marry him."
Not only this, Mark gave Julia the most beautiful gift, a song dedicated to her which was about their first dance. It was called Lovers in a Stream. It was a surprise for Julia as she revealed how Mark not only wrote the song, but also produced and sang it. She called it the most beautiful present she could ever get and said she was floating up in the air. She said:
'It was a surprise. Mark wrote, produced, and sang it. It was very surreal, and the most beautiful present I've ever received. It felt like I was floating up in the air—it was the most magical moment I've ever had."
When Julia won her first Emmy awards in 2019 for the film Ozark, she made sure to thank 'the love of her life', Mark, in her acceptance speech. And for a second Emmy win, she thanked her husband. In 2023, when Julia took home the Golden Globe Awards, she showered her husband with love. The couple had lived happily for six years, until their marriage fell apart.
After getting married, Julia revealed that her husband is a musician; they had a super busy year after they got married. They didn't get the chance to have a honeymoon; instead, they went straight to work, but they spent a lot of happy times at their home.

As per reports, Julia and Mark have parted ways, and a source close to the couple had confirmed the same. However, neither Julia nor Mark has talked about the matter. The couple continues to follow each other on Instagram.
