He was seen "pacing back and forth" and "moving back and forth" in front of the Hotel COCO Phuket Bangtao's premises before he left. Additionally, he had checked into the hotel alone and was due to check out on March 13, 2026, but never did. Instead, his body was found by a worker in a drainage canal near Bang Tao Beach on March 14, 2026.

Moreover, the authorities stated that his movements did not seem normal because he was seen wandering near the hotel before heading toward the canal area. It was the same place where his body was later found. In fact, some people tried to reach him when he was not seen around, but he did not respond. Subsequently, when his body was found, he was barefoot in black pants and a grey T-shirt. At the same time, Jordan's iPhone was found on a nearby bank, hinting that he may have been near the water shortly before his death.

Furthermore, the police officials noticed that there were no signs of struggle or injuries, indicating an attack. Likewise, his hotel room reportedly showed no signs of forced entry, adding more to the mystery. A local police officer also confirmed that all his personal belongings appeared intact, with no evidence of a suggested robbery or violence. However, the fact that his phone was found on the bank while he was found in the water has raised further questions about what exactly happened in those final moments. Yet, authorities believe that his final behavior before his death might be a key to solving the case.

The exact cause behind Jordan Wright's death remains unanswered. But the officials are waiting for autopsy and toxicology results from Vachira Phuket Hospital to know if there were any substances, a medical condition, or environmental factors that led to the incident. Yet, the police have not ruled out the possibility ot a accidental drowning. Still, the cause of death is not final until the forensic reports are released.
