American billionaire, John Alfred Paulson recently settled his long divorce battle with his ex-wife, Jenny Paulson, in May 2026.  It was in 2021 when John filed for a divorce from Jenny after almost 21 years of marriage. However, the duo had been engaged in a legal battle over their massive fortune since then. The 70-year-old billionaire is having a steady relationship with his 33-year-younger girlfriend, Alina De Almeida.

According to a source, John Paulson and Alina De Almeida are planning an extravagant destination wedding in Monaco, with events spanning three days. Amid wedding planning, the couple is reportedly expecting their second baby. For the unversed, Paulson and Almeida welcomed their first daughter, Jacqueline, in February 2025. Now the billionaire is all set to welcome his second baby with Almeida at the age of 71. Revealing how everything feels like a dream come true, Almeida shared:

“We’re excited about our wedding in Monaco and to be welcoming our second child. My life is like a dream come true.”

As per reports, John Paulson and Alina De Almeida’s wedding in June 2027 will be a grand affair. Though the wedding dates are not yet finalised, the ceremony will see some high-profile names in attendance. The ceremony will take place at the luxurious Villa La Vigie on the cape of the Monte-Carlo Beach. Talking about the wedding, Paulson told Page Sis:

“We chose Monaco because it’s ultra-sophisticated and elegant. It’s the creme de la creme of Europe. All our friends are going to love going there.”

Alina De Almeida is a Clinical Registered Dietitian and founder of Effective Lifestyle. Her venture promotes a healthy lifestyle. Alina worked as a Clinical Dietitian at New York-Presbyterian Hospital from 2012 to 2013 before she launched Effective Lifestyle. Alina studied paediatric oncology and nutrition sciences at New York’s prestigious Columbia University.

From 2008 to 2010, Almeida also volunteered as a nutrition assistant at Chilton Memorial Hospital. Almeida is quite active on social media, but her accounts are private. Over time, Paulson and Almeida’s relationship garnered significant attention due to the large age difference. When he started dating Almeida, he was 68, and she was 35, so they had a 33-year age gap.

John and Jenny tied the knot in 2000 and welcomed daughters Danielle and Giselle. In September 2021, John filed for divorce from Jenny after 21 years of marriage. Shortly after filing for divorce, John and his girlfriend, Almeida, were seen together in public. In 2024, John got engaged to Alina de Almeida.

John and Jenny looked like a happy couple, and when he filed for divorce, she was clueless. Jenny learned about John’s girlfriend, Alina, in the media and was shocked. After John filed for divorce from Jenny, the couple engaged in a long legal battle regarding their shared fortune. After five years, the billionaire settled his divorce, reaching an amicable agreement on the distribution of their assets. They ended the legal battle and related litigation on May 4, 2026. 

Though the settlement is private, as reported, John Paulson has handed over the luxurious Upper East Side mansion valued at USD 30 million. The settlement also includes the dismissal of a USD 1 billion lawsuit Jenny filed against John in 2022, in which she accused him of hiding some of his assets in a trust.
