Jellico-based influencer John 'Johnny' Dewayne Davis, of the popular mother-son duo, Coffee Time with John and Momma, has died following a medical episode in the middle of a Facebook livestream. The 55-year-old, known for co-hosting cooking livestreams with his mother, was a much-adored figure on the internet and had a loyal following.
John's tragic final moments were caught on camera, and the livestream continued for several minutes after the influencer collapsed on the floor. While the video has now been taken down, the internet has dug up the heartbreaking final moments of John's life.
On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, John and his mother, Frances 'Tootsie' Davis, were hosting one of their regular cooking livestreams on Facebook. The duo was in the middle of making a chicken salad, discussing whether they should put it in a sandwich. Things were looking normal, and John was dicing up the chicken when suddenly, his expression started changing. Mid-stream, he paused and quietly told his mother:
“Oh Momma, I don’t feel good.”
In a resurfaced clip circulating online, John can be seen taking a long breath and leaning forward onto the table while Frances immediately gets up to grab him a Juice. Before she could turn back, John lifted his head, his eyes rolling to the back, and then fell off his chair, collapsing on the floor. Hearing Frances' scream, neighbors reportedly rushed to the home, and 911 was called immediately. However, when the medical team arrived, John had no pulse and was reportedly turning purple.
Police in Jellico, Tennessee, reported that Davis was pronounced dead at the scene after authorities reached his residence. It is suspected that John likely passed even before his body hit the floor.

Johnny and Mama became one of the internet's most beloved and heartwarming duos, winning over viewers with their cooking livestreams, where they experimented with new recipes, shared laughs, and swapped entertaining stories along the way. A native of the Oswego Community of Jellico, Tennessee, John was born on March 29, 1971, to his late father, Don Eugene Davis, and his mom, Frances Davis. He was known to be a devoted family man.
John and Frances launched their YouTube channel, Coffee Time with John and Momma, in 2019, and their adorable antics and simple recipe videos quickly made them a favorite duo on the internet. Over the years, John's channel had accumulated a loyal community of followers, with over 7,000 YouTube subscribers and more than 200,000 combined followers across platforms by early 2026. The final livestream on the channel, filmed just a day before John's death, featured the pair preparing tomato parmesan with ranch dressing together. While slicing tomatoes, Davis explained that he was making a small tray of the dish because it was one of his mother's favorites. He said:
“It’s something we’ve had for six or eight years. I’ve seen it, I tried it, I like it.”
Followers and friends have expressed their condolences and concerns for Davis' mother, worried about the elderly woman's health after this unimaginable loss.
