Chinese Actor Jin Ze Passes Away At 33, Did His Agency Reveal Cause Of Death? Funeral Details Out

In a tragic turn of events, Chinese star and fashion model, Jin Ze, passed away at the age of 33 on June 4, 2026, at his house in Hangzhou. The actor was born as Zhang Jiawei, and in a shocking chain of events, he has now passed away. The Chinese actor had built a very loyal fan following via his romantic dramas and also short-form series.

How did Chinese star and fashion model, Jin Ze, pass away?

Chinese star and fashion model, Jin Ze's agency had revealed in an official statement that his cause of death was not yet known. Jin Ze's agency, called Shengshi Guangnian Culture Co., Ltd had confirmed in an official statement that the actor, whose real name was Zhang Jiawei, died. His cause of demise is not known. The statement by Jin Ze's agency read:

“We announce with profound sorrow that our contracted actor Jin Ze (Zhang Jiawei) passed away at his home in Hangzhou on June 4, 2026. Jin Ze, formerly known as Zhang Jiawei, was born on January 30, 1993, in Weihai, Shandong Province. He was an outstanding young actor and model… We express our deepest grief and extend our sincere condolences to his family.”

Chinese star and fashion model, Jin Ze's agency further revealed that the young actor and model was outstanding and condolences were poured to the family. The agency had extended condolences to his family. A report by AsiaOne shared that at present, Jin's family is busy with his funeral arrangements. They requested to give Jin's family the time to mourn and also asked for privacy. Jin's agency shared:

"At present, his family is fully occupied with funeral and related arrangements. To avoid unnecessary occupation of public discourse resources, we sincerely appeal to all netizens and media outlets to show kindness, respect the deceased, and be considerate of his family. We urge everyone not to create or spread unverified rumors, and not to fabricate or speculate about the cause of his passing. Let us preserve dignity and remembrance together."

Chinese star and fashion model, Jin Ze's agency had called him as a hardworking, dedicated and also a humble professional who was committed to his line of work in his entire career. Jin's demise has prompted all his colleagues and fans to pay their respects. His agency has been sympathising with Jin's family during this time of grief. The agency has offered sympathy to the star's family and asked for understanding as they handle all the private arrangements.

Singaporean actress, Eleanor Lee remembered how Zhang Jiawei always took care of her

Singaporean actress, Eleanor Lee has been best known for her work in Fake Princess (2020) and Give You My Heart (2026. She had given an emotional tribute to Jin Ze on social media. Eleanor Lee wrote that she does not have the words for this tribute. It was all very sudden for her, and she recalled how Zhang had always taken care of her. In her words:

"It was a very sudden news to me, all I can say is you were a great friend and a great person. We had a lot of fun on set, and you took good care of me, we always said we’d meet again whenever we were in the same city, but after years and all the work that brought us apart. You were still a good friend that I kept in touch with.  You will be missed, rest in peace my friend."
