According to Deadline, the film follows a 13-year-old Elle, who treats the mansion as a second home, and Anna, a hopeful for Playmate of the Month, as they form an unlikely friendship. Biel will play Playboy founder Hugh Hefner’s wife. While Hefner was married multiple times in real life, the character Biel will play is fictional.
Reports say Biel’s role isn’t modeled after any of Hefner’s three real wives. Biel shared the official news through her Instagram handle and penned:
“Absolutely thrilled to join this project with this amazing cast!”

According to Deadline, the upcoming movie will feature Bill Pullman as Hugh Hefner. The plot starts with a young girl, Elle, who knows everything about the playboy mansion and treats it as her second home. During her time at the mansion, she meets Anna, one of the hopefuls competing to be Playmate of the Month. During the course of the film, they form an unlikely friendship and help each other.
Jessica Biel’s casting in Playmates comes just one day after she hit the red carpet at the New York City premiere of her new movie Matchbox: The Movie. She stars opposite John Cena in the film. Jessica Biel is one of Hollywood's most promising actresses. She has starred in films like The Illusionist, New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, and The A-Team. She also appeared in series like 7th Heaven, Candy, The Sinner, and The Better Sister.
Not just as an actress, Biel is also a successful producer, and through her Iron Ocean production banner, she has executive produced shows like Cruel Summer and Limetown. Biel most recently executive produced and starred opposite Elizabeth Banks in The Better Sister. Her work has garnered her both an Emmy and Golden Globe nomination.

Apart from his three marriages, he regularly dated and lived with up to six or seven women at the Playboy Mansion during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Hugh Hefner dated model Barbara Lynn Klein in the '70s, who appeared on the cover of Playboy in 1969, 1970, 1972, and 1985. He also dated Canadian actress Shannon Tweed and Baywatch actress Brande Roderick. He once had seven live-in girlfriends at once. Speaking about the same to The Daily Mail, he shared:
“When the relationship with Brande broke up, I added more girls. At one point, it was up to seven."
