In a piece of tragic news, it was revealed that television writer and producer Jesikah Suggs has passed away. For those unaware, Jesikah was best known for being the writer-producer on Netflix’s My Life With The Walter Boys. Season 3 of the show just premiered on August 6, 2026. What makes the news of her death even more tragic is that she took her last breath at the young age of 32. As fans mourn her death, her engagement picture with actor Dustin Ingram has surfaced.

Most people recognize Jesikah Suggs because of her professional career as a writer and producer for some of the most hit shows. What many might not be aware of is that in her personal life she was married to Watchmen actor Dustin Ingram. Now, with the news of Jesikah’s death grabbing the headlines, fans are flocking to her Instagram profile to revisit her old posts. 

In her profile, which is set to public, Jesikah would often share pictures of the projects she was working on, the people she worked with, her pet weiner, Ber, her husband, Dustin, and other personal insights into her life. One of the posts that is grabbing the most attention after Jesikah's death is the one featuring her engagement pictures.

The three-picture carousel was posted by Jesikah on July 17, 2024. The first snap features the exact moment Dustin got down on one knee in front of the writer. Jesikah had the biggest smile on her face as she extended her hand for Justin to put the ring on her finger. For the occasion, Jesikah wore a sleeveless floral maxi dress. Meanwhile, Dustin complemented her look with a white shirt that had minimal floral detailing on the collar and black trousers. 

The second slide showcased a black-and-white photo of a book with the title A Courting of Jesikah and Dustin. Coming to the third picture, it featured a close-up shot of Dustin holding the book and Jesikah putting her hand on top of his, offering her followers a glimpse of her beautiful engagement ring. 

Jesikah captioned the post with, “I love you so dearly.” The comments on the post were filled with congratulatory messages. One user wrote, “Awww Jes so happy for you!” Another wrote, “Mazel tov Jes!” A third user penned, “Gorgeous, gorgeous, happy people! Congratulations!”

It was on August 25, 2026, that Jesikah Suggs' family confirmed that she had passed away. She reportedly died in her Studio City, California, home a few days earlier, on August 18, 2026. For those unaware, Jesikah had been diagnosed with breast cancer eight years earlier when she was just 24. 

Apart from My Life With The Walter Boys, some of the other credits to her name include Parenthood, As We See It, and It's Not Like That. However, My Life With The Walter Boys remains one of her best works. Jesikah had initially started as a story editor on Season 1 and later became a co-producer in Seasons 2 and 3. Before her death, Jesikah had already begun writing in preparation for the show's fourth season.

Speaking about how Jesikah was unwilling to let cancer define her life, her sister, Liz, said in a statement: 

“Two years after her initial diagnosis, her cancer metastasized. Jes, once again, courageously endured and triumphed through every treatment imaginable, and she did it with a smile on her face and love for all the healthcare workers who poured their care into her…Her life will continue to bear fruit in the stories told by every writer she touched - so in a sense, she’ll still be writing for a very, very, very long time.”
