Jennifer Finch's band confirmed her passing with an Instagram post. They revealed how she has left a huge impact with her contribution to the world of music. They required privacy for the family as they navigate the difficult time. The post can be read as:

"We are devastated to announce the death of our partner, sister, daughter, and friend Jennifer Precious Finch. Jennifer’s impact on the world of music was seismic; her impact on our lives, even more so. We appreciate everyone’s interest and concern; thank you for all the kind messages. We appreciate some space to heal privately during this difficult time."

Jennifer Finch's team talked about her aggressive form of cancer just a few days before her death. The band announced how Jennifer was diagnosed with the cancer. They stated that after multiple surgeries and serious complications, she required extensive medical care.

They set up a crowdfunding page to help raise medical costs for Jennifer, which was USD 350,000. Many rock musicians, including Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament, Adrienne Armstrong, the wife of Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, Bikini Kill's Kathleen Hanna and Tool's lead singer, also donated to her health care.

It was believed that a full course of radiation would give Jennifer some version of normality; the unforeseen complication led to a string of setbacks. However, despite the setback, Jennifer remained in good spirits even during her last phase. While talking about the diagnosis, they also released her photo where she was smiling as she showed off a large surgical scar.

More about Jennifer Finch

Jennifer Finch was born on August 5, 1966, at the Salvation Army Home for Unwed Mothers. She was adopted in 1967 by aeronautics engineer Robert Edward Finch and Sandra Jacobson. However, her adoptive parents divorced, and it was her father who received her custody, and she grew up under his wings.

In fact, a big role towards her artistic interests was encouragement from her father. He supported her photography and music journey. He enrolled her in guitar lessons and bought tickets for concerts when she was a child. After her father's passing, Finch adopted the middle name 'Precious' in memory of her late father, as he used to call her with the name.

The statement can be read as:

"We are shattered by the loss of our beloved bandmate, sister and friend Jennifer Finch, whose fierce spirit, humor and boundless creativity helped shape L7 and changed all of our lives forever. Jennifer was a true original who lived entirely on her own terms, and the impact she made on music, art and everyone lucky enough to know her cannot be measured. We love her beyond words and will carry her with us always. Rest in power, our dear friend."

Jennifer Finch was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. Just a few days before her passing, Jennifer talked about her treatment. She stated that when she was first diagnosed, it was believed that her health could be treated with radiation, but the complication intensified and she had to undergo multiple surgeries.

Jennifer added that the procedures had left her with severe physical limitations. She required extensive medical care afterwards. In 2011, Jennifer was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. It is also worth mentioning that Jennifer had dropped out of the upcoming U.S. leg of L7's Last Hurrah Tour. It was planned when she was in good health.

We pray for Jennifer Finch's family in these testing times.
