Jelly Roll's Wife, Bunnie XO Defended His Affair Confession Before Divorce, 'Face Pain Head-On..'

Although Jelly Roll's personal life has always been an area of interest among fans, at present, it is garnering a lot of attention for something that no one expected. For those unaware, recent reports revealed that Jelly Roll had filed for divorce from his wife, Bunnie XO, after 10 years together. However, it is worth noting that Jelly Roll and Bunnie had briefly separated once before the divorce filing when the latter caught him cheating. After Jelly admitted to the affair, it was Bunnie herself who defended his confession. 

Bunnie XO addressed Jelly Roll's affair confession after facing criticism 

According to reports, Jelly Roll initially believed his affair was necessary to save his marriage to Bunnie XO. But once he understood his wrongdoing, he soon changed his stance. At the time, Jelly's confession of his affair had sparked a lot of criticism, but Bunnie was the one who decided to ultimately forgive him. It is worth noting that Jelly Roll's confession quickly put Bunny XO at the centre of online comments. One critic commented that Bunnie was no longer someone that fans could look up to because she did not divorce Jelly Roll even after he admitted his infidelity. She came to her husband's defence and fired back, saying that it took “a stronger woman to face pain head-on, do the work, and rebuild with the man she loves.” Bunnie added:

“Growth isn't weakness, it's grace. But not everyone's built for that kind of strength. I pray you never have to feel that pain bc you're judging another woman's life.” 

Jelly Roll opened up about his affair on a podcast 

It was just a day before Bunnie XO's post that Jelly Roll opened up about having an affair on the Human School podcast. He confessed that it was one of the worst moments of his adult life. Calling it a painful turning point in their marriage, he said:

“I don't talk about this publicly at all. But one of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair with my wife. It was the first time that I was like, ‘I really can't get this right at all. I know I'm in love with this woman.’ It was just such a – just really, really, really blew me back.” 

Jolly went on to say that he put years of effort into repairing his relationship with Bunnie. While he admitted that he wished that the affair would not have been a part of their story, Jelly was "glad it happened.” He called the repair “special” and stated that his and Bunnie's relationship was stronger than it ever was. 

Jelly Roll claimed that hanging out with the wrong crowd influenced his actions 

During the same podcast conversation, Jelly Roll also discussed the reason that led him to make the wrong choices. According to him, much of his behaviour at the time was a result of what he surrounded himself with. He admitted that he would hang out with people who would cheat on their wives. But the reason Jelly did not let go of those friendships was that they had been with him for several years. He said:

“Horrible humans. But I would just be proud to say, ‘That dude's been with me 12 years.’” 

Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO's divorce 

While the news of Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO's divorce has been making the rounds recently, the divorce filing was made quite a few days earlier. As per court documents, it was Jelly who filed for the divorce from his wife, Bunnie XO, on May 18, 2026. The filing took place in Williamson County, Tennessee. Even though curiosity surrounding their divorce after 10 years together is at an all-time high, neither Jelly nor Bunnie revealed the reason for their decision and if the singer's past affair had any impact on the same.
