Just how Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan, Sanjeev Seth and Lata Sabharwal, Debina Bonnerjee and Gurmeet Choudhary, Gurdip Kohli and Arjun J Punjj, Indraneil Sengupta and Barkha Bisht, Ram Kapoor and Gautami Gadgil, Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya; had found love on the sets of their respective shows, Jayashree Venketaramanan and Akhlaque Khan had also found their soulmates in each other on the sets of Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha 2, in which they had played the role of cousins. Jayashree and Akhlaque have been in a relationship for the past two years and now, have finally taken it to the next level.
Jayashree Venketaramanan and Akhlaque Khan had secretly tied the knot in a court marriage on March 3, 2020, in the presence of their families and a grand wedding is slated to happen later this year. In an interview with the Bombay Times, the newly-married couple revealed their love story and how it feels to be husband and wife. Revealing how her family had loved Akhlaque since years, Jayashree stated, “My family has known Akhlaque since years and have always adored him. In fact, in 2016 just before my grandmother’s death, I had taken him to meet her. Later, she told me to get married to him.”
For Jayashree Venketaramanan and Akhlaque Khan’s court marriage, only his father could make it to the wedding while the bride’s family was present in full force in the court. When asked how it feels to be married, Jayashree replied, “It feels awesome. I was excited throughout, even while I was taking the oath. Maine toh full nautanki ki. I took the oath like a boss, but Akki (Akhlaque) was nervous and he even fumbled. Thank God he didn’t take the wrong name (laughs!).” Akhlaque added, “Honestly, I was nervous for no reason. Speaking about how they fell in love, Akhlaque Khan stated, “We became friends almost instantly, but it was much later that we realised we had feelings for each other. It happened organically.” Jayashree continued, “Though it took me time to understand my feelings for Akhlaque, he was clear that he couldn’t see me with anyone else. We were best friends for five years, before we fell in love.”
On Akhlaque Khan’s birthday last year, Jayashree Venketaramanan had penned down a heartfelt poem with a super-cute picture with her beau giving a sweet peck to her. She had written, “Once upon a time it got stolen, Never to be found again, The expansion started, Creating a Big Bang, To realise what was stolen, Was never meant to be mine, And what was replaced, Was absolutely unexplicable. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AKKI U mean the universe of poems to me.” On the other hand, for Jayashree’s birthday, Akhlaque had written a short and crisp wish, which could be read as “Happy birthday to the... Well... No adjectives can describe you... happy happy birthday J. Thank for being there.”
Jayashree Venketaramanan and Akhlaque Khan had also acted in the short film, ‘Kissss’ on YouTube which also streams on MXPlayer. For the same, Jayashree and Akhlaque had done a liplock.
