Jay Bhanushali and his wife, Mahhi Vij are one of the most loved couples in the television industry. They got hitched to one another on November 11, 2011. Then, they became foster parents of their caretakers' kids, Khushi and Rajveer, four years after being in marital bliss. Soon after this, happiness knocked on their doors yet again when on August 3, 2019, Mahhi gave birth to their firstborn. Together, they named their princess Tara. On March 28, 2024, a video was uploaded from Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij's daughter, Tara's Instagram handle, probably run by her mommy. In the video, the actor can be spotted wearing a pink-hued tiered maxi dress that featured thin straps. He looked absolutely hilarious, wearing the same as he came out of his room. Afterwards, he was seen giving high-fives to his kids, and little Tara was seen jumping in excitement when she got such a glimpse of her daddy. Sharing the photo, she wrote, "Papa", followed by multiple smiling emojis.

Soon after the video was posted online, Jay reacted to it. He penned, "I did this because Tara wanted me to do it..why did you post, ohh god this is so embarrassing." Following this, many other netizens also started reacting to it. While one user commented, "Kya majboori rahi hogi jay bhai", to which Jay replied, "Beti ka pyaar." One more user mentioned, "You can give complex to women Jay looking so cute."

In August 2023, Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali hosted a Unicorn-themed birthday party for their baby girl, Tara. In the glimpses from the same event, the entire venue was decorated as per the theme, and everything looked immensely pretty. In the next glimpses, the little girl can be seen arriving at the venue on a white-hued cart along with her siblings, Khushi and Rajveer. Tara's parents also arranged a beautiful three-tier birthday cake which featured a rainbow, stars, butterflies and little unicorns, making it quite special for the birthday girl. For her birthday celebrations, Tara donned a pink-coloured frock that featured multi-coloured ruffle sleeves and a layered trail detail at the back. Tara teamed her look with a sleek necklace, a bracelet, pink lipstick, winged eyeliner, blushed cheeks and a middle-parted hairdo.

On August 3, 2023, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij's daughter, Tara turned four years old. Thus, on her special day, the doting parents planned to give a special gift to the baby girl. The doting parents had arranged to get a video of their child featured in New York's Times Square. Following this, a video of the same went viral on the internet. In the video, Jay and Mahhi's little princess could be seen enjoying herself, and looking extremely cute.
